Well he had a great time New Years Eve with 20 people here and all the food. He had lots of laps to sit on and when we had our New Years toast he got a champaign glass with "cool whip" in it" to go with the fun, lol. I think it may of grossed several people out but OH WELL. lol. We had 14 stay over and then 10 of us (well eleven counting Modoc) took a 4 mile hike in the foggy cold morning. We just went down to a trail be below the house and he had a ball. He was off the leash the whole hike until our stopping point which was a sharp drop off so then he got leashed. If we Hiked 4 miles he did 8. He'd run in front of us then we'd call him back so he did double time, lol. It was a great way to start the New Years. When we got back someone said there was a sign with what looked like a great dane (probably just meant all dogs) with a circle and slash through it. We didn't see it but there was no one in the part so it was fine. HAPPY NEW YEAR, JERI AND MODOC |

Hey, Jeri, no worries about the "no dogs" sign... Modoc isn't a dog! Great pictures.. What a beautiful boy he is. Looks like you all had a great time. ~Neda~ |

Looks like you all had a great time.........what beautiful scenery, how lucky you are! 'A sign......what sign'!!! Kinda of like, if a tree falls in the forrest and no one is there to hear it, did the tree really fall. So if there's a sign and no one sees it, is there really a sign.......LOL! Have a great New Year! Dragon & Zap |

Jeri,
Modoc looks like he had a blast! I'm glad you didn't see that sign until AFTER the hike!

Ha Ha well later Nat fessed up he knew it was a "No Dog" trail but it is a "one way" trail and there were No cars in the parking lot so he knew No one was there. This park would be a 50 mile round trip if you were on a bike and that is what he says it is meant for. Who's going to pedal 50 miles for a 4 mile trail, lol. We can see from the house if any cars are in the park and none were. However, on the way back, we never let Modoc go around a corner in case someone has come to the park we don't know about. We did pass a family coming up but Nat had seen them first and leashed Modoc. They enjoyed petting him. I had no idea it was a "No Dog" trail but he didn't poop or pee, lol, and anyone coming up with a dog would of been in violation too. It didn't happen but now we can control him if it did. He had a ball. LOL BE Coffee? Heck we just kept them up all night for the hike (just joking). We were actually in bed by 1 AM, jeri |
