I think for me it was when Modoc took off after a deer and it was 5 PM getting dark in a wilderness and we could not get him to come back nor could we see him.  All I could imagine were the bears out there at night and all the other wild life like packing coyotes.  After a good amount of time and splitting up in the Forrest calling him and looking for him Nat finally yelled "don't move...just listen"  Sure enough the little bugger was walking around, totally lost but when we went to the sound of the breaking branches he would take off.  We still hadn't seen him didn't know if it was a deer or him.  Finally Nat caught sight of him and called him, which he ignored like he'd had no training, lol and got the zoomies.  On his last pass by Nat he snagged him.
It was almost dark and he'd been out there all night if we hadn't of gotten him.  He was 2 years old then.

oh my how scary
Tank hasn't scared me YET
Gracie scared me the most when her and Dutchess got out and I knew they would be together but our neighborhood wa still under constructions and the neighborhood is off of a BUSY road well I started running around in my car calling them and thenone of the painters tells me he saw them back by where they were pouring the goundations. The only thing that went through my mind was I have to get to work and there are two danes next to three or four cement trucks, when i got there the construction workers were playing with them and not a drop of cement thank goodness

Barrett freaks me out a little every once in a while in a few different ways. The top three being when he starts playing rough with a smaller dog, when he gets too excited around kids, and when he doesn't want to get in the car when we're out somewhere and its just me and him! Mostly cuz I know that although he won't hurt anyone or anything, he doesn't know how big he is and still isn't the greatest with his commands and obediance... 95% of the time he's great and I have no problems taking him places and doing things with him, but theres that 5% of the time when he's having an off day or someone isn't watching their dog or their kid and just lets them wander up to Barrett, or he decides that he doesn't want to go where I want him to go that I get a little nervous! I'm confident in my control over him, but its always in the back of my mind that when it really comes down to it, if he wanted to, Barrett could take me on any day and he'd have no problems winning! The one time he had me really worried though was when I took him up to Sam's club gas station to get his nails cut (we have a good friend that works there and she used to be a groomer and has groomed Bubba Louie a few times and always used to bathe our dog Jake who went to the bridge about 6 months before we got Barrett) Anyway, Shannon (our friend) took Barrett into the little hut they have for the station attendants to do his nails quick while I filled up my car. Right about when they got to the door of the hut, Barrett looked behind him and realized that momma wasn't coming with! He knows Shannon and has been there with us and in the hut a million times so I never thought he'd even think twice about it... I was wrong... He turned around, pulled backwards, and right about the time I yelled, "Shannon, Don't pull! He slips out of his collar", Barrett did just that... He ran about 20 feet from her and just stood there like 'now what do I do!?" I told Shannon just to walk behind him and more or less herd him towards me and I'd grab him when he got close. It worked like a champ and I had him back on his leash in about 5 minutes, but the thought of him being loose where there are cars all over the place and right by 2 very busy roads and the freeway had me a little freaked out! I'm so glad he decided not to play games with me that day!!
