Someone has taken over our name GREAT DANE FUN  and is directing our members to another room.  Please use the URL on the welcome page and the message board.  We have no control over this so all we can do is give you the correct URL;

*sigh*

Jeri, you don't own us. The email list is perfectly accessible to any of us, not to mention that when we REGISTERED at the other board, it created an email list for Ted and Tessa, YOU included! I have no connection with them...I think I've spoken to them one on one exactly once. However, I have seen their efforts to help you out be flat out ignored and now COMPLETELY taken out of context. It's annoyed me for some time.

They offered to transfer managership of the new board to you. They offered the domain, everything. Unless you said something to them in private, I never saw you even acknowledge it except to tell everyone you were "working on something else". That something else has turned out to be a board of much lower quality than the one Ted and Tessa set up for us. It has horrible graphics and a poor layout. The type of board that they set up is FAR superior to the aimoo setup and offers many more options in a much safer and easier to use format. Before this happened I checked out your new board and knew I couldn't be active there...the oversized blinking animations and huge graphics and bright colours and poor layout is too hard on my eyes.

They have stolen nothing. When you made it clear you didn't want anything to do with it, they simply left it up for those of us who are sick and tired of having to go all over just to keep in touch with the friends we've made due to some petty arguments amoungst the managers. I'm sure they didn't want all their hard work for us to go to waste, and some of us really liked the layout and were hoping you or Janice would come around and take advantage of the opportunity they were offering.

I will be at Ted and Tessas board because they have shown, through their hard work and honesty, that they have the best interests of ALL OF US in mind. No petty arguments and grudges, no need to retain control over everyone, and frankly, they have a heck of a lot more knowledge about board layout and design and structure, which makes the posting experience much nicer and makes me want to spend more time there. I've always hated MSN and Aimoo is just another crappy version of it.

Please, none of this is personal and i beg you to stop seeing the worst in everyone the instant something doesn't go the way you want it to. It's causing a lot of strain for the rest of us feeling torn between loyalties. Remember high school?

No, none of us really want to either. That's what it feels like around here when this kind of stuff happens.

It seems Ted and Tessa have been banned...why? Because you didn't take the time to find out what was happening and assumed the worse. That is completely uncalled for. I only glance at the boards once a day as I'm too busy for much more and I could clearly see what was going on, see their honest efforts and good intentions.

I like you a lot Jeri, and Frank...but if you guys are going to manage a board, you need to act like managers and make decisions that are in the best interest of the board, not in the best interest of your immediate emotions.

My unasked for two cents...but I can't let this snowball into yet another issue that was caused by simple miscommunication.

Yes, because Tessa accidentally typed that domain instead of greatdaneboard.com....which is perfectly understandable considering some of us are trying to balance between 3 different boards with 3 very similar names. She apologized and corrected her mistake. The whole "takeover" thing is a very long shot and very uncalled for.

I removed them from the list in an attemp to protect our member's private emails.
I realized anyone could just rejoin so the restriction has been removed and they have been invited to rejoin.  As far as the board.
We're working on our but I'm sure it will take a while to be as good as a web builder and we are just people who love Great Danes andwant a place to continue to hang out with our frineds but it's going to get much better.  Hope to see you there,
jeri

Why not simply take advantage of the board that is already set up and ready to go in all ways? I just don't understand.

The members emails that were used are not private, when you join a board, your email is plastered all over the place. There is nothing private about it at all. The emails Tessa used were gathered from her own inbox and from when people joined that board or posted their emails publically.

Seri,
Our members like the tone of this room which we will continue in the next room.  That's not to say there is not room for lots of boards out there.  After what happened in the other room we'd like to be in control of our own destiny rather then work hard
on providing a room our members enjoyed and being discarded if that whim might happen again.  We enjoy providing a room and giving members and friends the things they ask for but we don't want to be in a position that all we work on can be taken away again. Enjoy all the boards and hope to see you on ours,
jeri

Thing is, it can't be taken away because they were offering to give you complete access to everything, sigh.

Whatever, I'm just tired of everyone thinking it really is an answer to run away from problems and start new boards. It gets really old when everyone is all split up all over the place, it's discouraging.

I'm going to be at the great dane board simply because it's the middle ground and it IS the most secure and well-laid-out board of any of the multiple choices right now. I will miss those that don't come there, but I'm tired of being a nomad....I want to be HOME!

I am simply joining EVERY group that shows up - I will wait a few months, until the dust settles, to see where I am likely to be active.

Seri the thing is it can be taken away.  I was an administrator there for a while and by an accident (not intended)  poof I was gone. Someone just accidentally pushed a wrong button so as far as security we'll keep our room,  It was stated in the post that as soon as one of the new rooms opened up the .come would be redirected to the new room.  That hasn't happened.  Please know you are always welcome in GDF.  We'll miss your presence.
