Belle has an elbow Hygroma. The vet said probably from an injury since she sleeps on the bed. It looks and feels like an abcess, but is not painful to her at all. Said they can be caused by sleeping on a hard surface. Maybe should get a sleep number for her. LOL. Says I need to pad her elbows and let her have moderate exercise to prevent her from any futher bumping injuries and it should take care of itself. There is a surgery, but he does not reccomend it. Surgery will leave it open to a possible infection. Anybody with advise or experience with this please leave a reply. Said to be patient it takes a while for these to heal up. We thought it was an abcess...thank goodness we didn't try to drain it ourself.
