Mastery

A Master is not just a top to his surmise,

But her friend and her lover as well.

He is the captain of her ship,

Steering her with a firm, but gentle hand,

Rejoicing when her course runs true,

And correcting her when she blows off course.

He provides her with a safe port

In the face of the storm,

And restores and rights her lovingly

From the ravages of wind, rain and sea.

He cherishes her as the vessel of his soul.

With her crew, he is fair and honest,

And so earns their trust and respect.

For without HER trust and HER respect,

He would only be a top to his soumise.
