"Spoken like a true smart ass." he said as he finally broke away from his book. "Besides, When do they ever except when they have to?" he raised an eyebrow as he set his book down on the table and leaned his elbows on the table. "So- why didja wanna meet me here? Couldn't have picked somewhere else like...outside?" She regarded him with a partially amused look and he shook his head. "Ok, point taken. But you'd probably have more fun with Ducky at lunch than me- even if he is tryna get it on with Lyric. Be more entertaining to you than I would. I normally just hide out. This ain't like home. Everybody here is so...I dunno- busy? I kinda miss the quiet." he sighed and looked down at the table. He missed home, no matter much he hated what happened it was still where his roots were. He looked back up at her and shrugged. "So enlighten me- what do you do when Ducky's attempting to hump Lyrics leg? Sit back and watch?" he winked at her.

He smiled lightly and shrugged. "Far as anybody except you and ducky cares I am invisible." he shrugged and lowered his head, resting his chin on his forearms. "I think I disappear the minute I come in this school or go home. Not like its anything new." he looked over at her. "Maybe I just have that kind of magic." he let a small grin form on the edge of his lips. "Like a leprechaun. Except you don't get a pot of gold for catching me."

"So we know one thing that hasn't changed." he adjusted himself and pushed his book bag away from his head. "No boys are gonna touch you and you keep your sanity." he looked back at her. "I dunno. I think we're insane as it is, just a different kind. I mean, it's like Ducky is so quick to catch on here and we're struggling. Not much to keep your sanity on.." he paused and looked down at the table. "Sad to say but I'd rather be back home and take a shit load of beatings than be here. I mean, it's not that much of a difference really- but at least we knew where we were. I kinda get the feelin people look at us like we're aliens or somethin. Well- not you. They look at you and think they're gonna get a chance with you. I gotta make sure that don't happen." he grinned at her. "So is there a list yet that wanna get their ass kicked?"

"I don't count your asshole father cause I can't do nothin much against him. You remember what happened when I tried." he sighed. "Figures they want to come here to change and that portion of our lives doesn't change." he sat up and looked at her, tapping his index and middle finger on his book in thought. "Maybe once Kerry decides to let me have my car back I'll get us outta here. Better than biking it." he shook his head at the memory. So close to escaping but they should have known how their parents rolled. "Unless you wanna stay and watch Ducky have at it with Lyric's leg." he winked at her. His grin slowly vanished and he looked down at the table and rested his head back on his arms. He knew he'd never get out. Pointless even day dreaming about it. "I wanna go home, Zaina." he sighed.

He kept his head down but nodded. Shitty as it seemed she was right. They'd tried it before to no avail, what would make this any different? He sat up and looked around at all the unfamiliar faces in the cafeteria. "I 'spose you're right. Unless by some divine intervention that somebody gets us out of that shit we're stuck. But, at least we are in this together. Not like we all got separated." he looked down as she was drawing in his book and groaned. "Aww damn it Zainy. You know I hate being called that." he couldn't help but laugh as he shook his head. "Beginin to think you're doin it on purpose." he tried to contain the smile that was threatening to break through.

"I'd prefer you didn't call me either." he raised an eyebrow as he watched her draw in his sketch book. "It's what's totally shitty about having two middle names and I hate both. Can't even make fun of you or Jeff with that since you'd may as well be Zainaan- and even saying that makes me look like a retard." he shook his head and returned her grin. "But you are forgetting something- I don't cry. Miss you as I might it'd only mean I'd have to find you and drag your sorry ass out to wherever I am." He nodded and grabbed another pen from hos bag, leaning onto her forearm. "Hold still while you get the first ever washable tattoo from the worlds most unknown and unfamous tattooist." he chuckled as he sketched down a duck playing with bubbles in a pond. "There." he blew the ink dry and sat back looking at her. "You have now been blessed with my special art. That way when you get home and go to do your homework you can look at it and say 'Deron.' and with a sad sigh, cause you might wanna cry and then wish your homework was done so you could come over to my place and hang out." he laughed and nodded as he threw his pen back into his bookbag. "And cherish it forever or until you wash it off."

"Homework ain't no friend of nobody." he said as he blew some hair out of his face as he looked back over at her. "Just a way to get us to cram useless information into our heads, shit we're never gonna use, so on and so on." he rolled his hand lazily but grinned. "So homework or not I'm thinkin after school we should hit the park or something... I don't wanna go home." he sighed and looked away from her for a moment as he shook his head. "Whatever you feel up to or if you can."
