| It was after lunch and she was still slightly out of it when she walked into the arts classroom. She looked over at Mr.Palmer as he was attending to a boy she'd never seen before and grinned. She knew he wouldn't care she was late, but it was better he didn't notice at all. Whatever she and Lucky had smoked was certainly something stronger than anything she'd tried before. As they waited for him to start the class she grabbed her bag and laid her head down on it, wanting to fall asleep.
"Angie sit up." Mr. Palmer said after a moment.
She groaned and forced herself up, realizing he was ready to start class.
"I was awake." she said with a yawn.
"I didn't ask if you were awake. I just told you to sit up." he grinned and shook his head, moving the new boy in front of him. "So everybody- this is Deron Thomas, he just moved here from Raleigh, North Carolina."
They all said a hello and she watched him continue to stare down at the floor. She could see he was a shy boy, kind of timid with his long dark hair hiding his face.
"Angie, since you need something to keep you on your toes, I want you to help him out today with what we're doing, ok? Show him the ropes."
She nodded as Mr. Palmer guided the boy to the seat beside her ans went to get the lesson started.
"Hi Deron. Welcome to LA." she grinned at him. "I'm Angie." | | Speak__ so, here be their meeting. lmao Breathe__ Walk This Way- Aerosmith

"Hi Deron. Welcome to LA." she grinned at him. "I'm Angie." "Nice to meet you." he mumbled quietly, not looking at her. He was feeling completely out of place there already, just wanting to go home. Not home here in LA but back to Raleigh. At least there he wasn't foreign.
"You like it here?" she asked. He shrugged, laying his head down on his arms. He knew he was probably being too withdrawn from her but he didn't want to tell her he hated it and he was miserable. He'd heard how territorial people were about LA. Would be the last thing he needed.

He glanced up from his backpack to her and nodded. He'd probably done most everything they were teaching in the class. Still it was somewhere he needed to be- just so he could feel less foreign. "Worked with it before moving here." he said quietly. He wished she'd leave him alone, just ignore him like everybody else. He didn't know how to be around her, her attention on him- the 'new' kid.
