Once there was Creativity

Long before legos came in premade sets

When refrigerator boxes became the best forts or spaceships

I went creek fishing with my pals for hours

Gone from sun up to sun down

You can overcome any hardship by imagining yourself past it

For us it was to leave a dead city, a road to adventure elsewhere

To explore woods said to be haunted

Or challenge the friends in all manner of games

I am sure of this one thing

We brought worry to our parents, and the discipline came down for it

But they loved us deeply despite our deeds

Once there was creativity in this world and we were happy for it
