A Walk   The crunching of leaves fall beneath this brisk pace Set to run from the shadows into the sun's warm embrace It is a life filled with stress To flee the battles and breathe for one more day   I can see the others all around me Standing still like statues braced for flight This way so sure that one can bring the news of doom It is eventual that one of us must fall someday   I know this day is mine It is my moment to stand strong and announce I am the leader To dwell for so short a time at the head of the line This walk I take of challenge   -Dan    background assembled by emily0690
