My vulnerabilities lie sore and open to your touch
It is a strange dull ache when you have left my side
Nothing I know can even come close to how it hits me
There is life and the motions we place ourselves through
That one sadness makes it all meaningless
The sun has fallen from my sky
To shine no more until you return to me
What is life defined to one that is so alone?
The glass heart I hold still beating in my chest
A shatter of many pieces
My light goes bright for one moment
