Location: SEARCH FOR THE TRUTH, IN A WORLD OF LIES I'm interested in the JT abduction statement. So if you could be of help would you mind posting as many newspaper/TV reports that detailed JTs movements and sighting on the 3/5...Please could you add the source to these reports..Thanks.

Jane Tanner, late leaving her apartment for dinner because one of her children was ill, said she saw a man carrying a child in his arms in the vicinity of the McCann apartment at 9.15pm, but thought nothing of it at the time. Gerry McCann returned to the restaurant at 9.25pm, having stopped to talk to an acquaintance, who confirmed this.

Thus the most important clue to the mystery of Madeleine’s disappearance was initially ignored. At around 9:15, another friend, Jane Tanner, emerged from her own villa to see a white man in beige trousers—five feet six, brown hair (longer in the back), and perhaps 35, she later told the police. In his arms he cradled a child wearing pink-and-white pajamas.

Jane Tanner was the only one to see a man carrying a child in a blanket towards the beach. However, the Tapas 9 drank about eight bottles of red and four bottles of white wine. I’m surprised they could see anything! Tanner changed her story four months later, claiming the child was wearing pink pyjamas and the man was heading towards Murat’s house.

Posts: 1418 Is it possible that JT did see GM carry Madeleine from the apartment at approx 9.15 on
evening of 3 May......did GM pass Madeleine to an accomplice - perhaps DP (Murat's look-a-like) BEFORE Jeremy Wilkins bumped into him and stopped him for a chat?
At 10.00 p.m. Dianne Webster thought it was a hoax, one of their games. Easily possible for GM to chat to JW without seeming worried because he wasn't.
Is it also possible that DP was unaware of what he was doing.....did DP and JT and rest of group think it was JUST a game? A sort of pass the parcel, and the last in line removed Madeleine from the scene?

Key witness that claimed the kidnapping backwards
The Portuguese police still believe that Gerry and Kate are connected to the disappearance of the daughter. This conviction was strengthened with the visit to England. A couple's friend also helped
The thesis of the eventual abduction of Madeleine McCann was compromised by the interrogatories made this week in Leicester, England. The key witness that claimed that Maddie was taken wrapped in a blanket by a man on the 3rd of May of 2007 from a flat in Praia da Luz, Algarve, was heavily shaken when she admitted to the authorities that she only left the Tapas Bar, where she dinned with the McCanns and more six friends, after the alarm given by Kate. Jane Tanner admits that she saw a person before she went to dine but she did not see with precision what that person was carrying and it could be a simple tenant of the Ocean Club. "It was a precious deposition because it permits to concentrate the investigation in only one line, meaning that Maddie's parents are involved in the disappearance of the child direct or indirectly", said to 24 Horas a high judicial responsible connected to the process. According to the same source, "the thesis of an eventual abduction is more and more weak".
All day the BBC radio has been running trailers for Panorama, and have been quoting Jane Tanner.
The Daily Mail picks up the story:

Ok let's see if she is a fantasist and a liar.
Take the drawing of the abductor. In some descriptions the child is said to be wrapped in a blanket, and the drawing would appear to support this. And it would appear that the implication is that this blanket is the pink blanket that Madeleine used as a comforter.
However there is a fly in the ointment, in the form of this report from the Times:
"Silvia Batisa, head of administration at the complex, helped to comfort the family and interpret their interviews with the police: “The parents were devastated, in a panic. They wanted more police and dogs immediately. Kate said all the time, ‘Please find my daughter�?and ‘Madeleine is beautiful�?�?
She recalled that the twins were still asleep in their two cots and there was the small, bright pink wool blanket that Madeleine likes to hold when she sleeps. “We walked out quickly so as not to wake up the twins. The parents immediately said, ‘She’s been kidnapped�?�?said Batisa."
And consider this from the Daily Mail today:
""I went out the front door of our apartment (on the night Madeleine disappeared) and I saw Rachel saying Madeleine had gone," she told the BBC.
"And then I saw Kate and Fiona (Payne, another of the McCann's friends) running around shouting 'Madeleine', and Kate said to me, 'Jane, Madeleine's gone, Madeleine's gone'.
"And that's the first I heard."
That was at around 10pm, she said, admitting she was not sure of the exact time."
Which would suggest that Jane Tanner is now claiming that she was not at the Tapas bar when the alarm was raised. She would seem to be suggesting that she was in her apartment.
This would seem to directly contradict all previous statements with regard to timing.
And she repeats that she saw the 'abductor' at around 9.15pm. This despite two independent witnesses, and Gerry McCann, saying that they saw neither Jane Tanner or this mystery man.
""I know what I saw and I think it's important that people know what I saw because I believe Madeleine was abducted.""
Of course none of this has anything to do with Panorama broadcasting this program to mark the 200th day since Madeleine disappeared. Quite why the BBC is allowing itself to be used in this way is open to question. Sure Panorama has every right to examine the issue. But why choose to air the program on the 200th day?
Especially as the BBC has largely choosen to ignore the story, claiming that it does not want to add to the feeding frenzy of rumour. And yet chooses to broadcast an interview with Jane Tanner, whose evidence is widely considered as partial and suspect.
However it remains to be seen whether the BBC will allow questions to raised as to the validity of Ms Tanner's statements. Or if this will be yet another opportunity for the McCann's to broadcast prooganda; this time at the licence fee payers expense.

This is the woman who believes she was the last person to see Madeleine McCann alive.
Holidaymaker Jane Tanner claims to have seen a man carrying the missing British toddler in his arms away from the Portuguese resort where she disappeared in May.
She has spoken exclusively to a US television show that has investigated the tot’s whereabouts. The programme, 48 Hours Mystery, airs tomorrow / tonight (Sat Nov 17).
But in a preview shown in the States today (Fri Nov 16), she opens up about the sighting for the first time.
She said: “I never in a million years thought it could have been Madeleine.
“I just saw somebody walking across the top of the road, and that person was carrying a child.�?BR>Madeleine, now four, went missing from her family’s holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on May 3 while her parents Gerry McCann and wife Kate, dined nearby at a tapas bar.
The woman - one of the so-called ‘tapas seven�?- says she saw the man carrying a child wearing pink pyjamas, the same colour as Madeleine’s.

Also, The woman saw the man close to the open window of the bedroom where Madeleine, then 3, had been sleeping with her two-year-old twin brother and sister, Sean and Amelie. It is being described as the clearest evidence yet about what happened on the night Madeleine disappeared 25 days ago.
This will bring more criticism to Portugal cops. The friend reported the sighting to police immediately but detectives released the description only after Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister in waiting, intervened last week. Despite the three-week delay, hundreds of people have called police with information. What is wrong with these investigators?

The man is white, 35 to 40 years old, of medium build and 5ft 10in. He has short hair and was wearing a dark jacket, light beige trousers and dark shoes.

Months later, when the Cooperman sketch (face only) was released, Clarence Mitchell told us that Jane Tanner was 75% certain this was the man she saw abducting Madeleine.
