Gosh, what a mess. I apologise deeply to everyone.
I hadn’t realised my joining as ‘Charlotte?today would cause trouble. Most who read my blog recognise the name ‘Charlotte?and as I was explaining (from the horse’s mouth so to speak) that “Cutting Through the Rubbish?did not close due to libel as suggested in the first part of this thread, it seemed appropriate to do so.
Now I had better explain (especially to those who may not have been aware) that SweetPea and Charlotte Times is the same person. Nbrado can verify.
I would like to clear a couple of points if I may.
Impartial, in reply to your question: It is not fear of libel or other pressure as such. Please understand that I posted a reply to this thread in an attempt to explain that I was unnerved enough to close my blog of my own accord, there has been no direct outside pressure or any threat issued to me, the blog closing was through my ‘digging?and getting jittery as a result. I understand that may sound cloak and daggerish but it’s the best I can offer at this time.
The statement ‘I doubt one minnow would be no match for a shoal of piranha?merely meant that this case is far bigger and uglier than I’d first imagined with team members that I have no desire to ruffle the feathers of - I am only small fish. Digging too deeply is not healthy = Now I would like to personally distance myself from the McCAnns case. Hence closing the blog.
Tripz, I think you may have misread or misunderstood. I did not say that there was any action taken against me. Please reread my original reply message to this thread or the above reply to impartial.
So that there are no further misunderstandings (hopefully):
There have been no threats of libel to Cutting through the Rubbish
No one has threatened me directly.
Cutting through the Rubbish closed of my own accord purely because I got jittery.
Once again, deepest apologies for causing confusion in what should have been a quick message of explanation in response to this thread. Thank you to everyone else for your kind responses and understanding.
On a last note, I have admired the contents of many posts here and have great respect for those who have explored and questioned ?some of which I copied across to my blog (with permission and links to original author/ thread) .
Big thank you to you all here on 3A’s (including those who may no longer be here but who gave some good insight into the McCann case)
PS. Love the “Satirical Images of the McCann Case?thread
Maybe one day it will be a sticky.
Charlotte,
I know of another person who dug deep enough to do similiarly to the action you have taken.
I am asking this sincerely - is it too dangerous for people in the UK to look into this case? To protect our British friends do those of us living in other countries need to publish more & perhaps connect with people like Charlotte to get information we can BLAST all over the internet?
If those thugs want to find me in the lovely, though often rainy, Pacific Northwest, LET THEM.
One of the most stunning things about this case is the real fear I've seen in people who are either witnesses or who have uncovered some of the truth behind the cover-up. Why would a simple couple of an "abducted" child have so many really sinister allies?
This gets more unreal every single day.
