If they are very involved then why are the British Press not slagging them off??

Scotland Yard/Met detectives flew to PDL in early hours of 4 May and remained there until after September (at least). Leicestershire Police sent family support units and CID to PDL immediately; they are all still involved under direction of PJ. The Met has been quoted as they intend investigation of separate UK prosecution under old British Law re death of British national on foreign soil, although I've lost my link to this. This would be, of course, on behalf of Madeleine herself as a British subject.

IMO the British press aren't slagging them off because they know they're doing a damn good job, and don't want to jeopardise any UK investigations/trial.
