Hi All, dont see a translation of this so am posting it. Hope am not duplicating. Am back to the forum as Ozzy2, as the usual Ozzy post was booby trapped to wreck my computer with the blue screen of death each time I got on the forum. Perhaps this is how some of the usual translators have vanished. Must have got fed up of fixing their computers. Best to all. Oz

The English friend of the McCanns, Russell O’Brien never asked for the cleaning service at the Ocean Club to change the bed sheets, which, according to him, his daughter had vomitted on because she was not well, half an hour before the alert regarding Madeleines disappearance.

Russell terá dito à Polícia Judiciária, durante o primeiro interrogatório, em Maio, que saiu do restaurante Tapas e foi ver a criança às 21h30. Permaneceu no quarto cerca de meia hora porque a menina estava doente e pediu para que fossem mudados os lençóis da cama.

Russell had told the PJ, during the first interrogation in May, that he left the Tapas restaurant to see the child at 9.30pm. He was in the bedroom for half an hour as the child was sick and asked for a change of the bedsheets.

However a source at the Ocean club confirms to the newspaper (CM) that “nobody in the group asked for any kind of cleaning service, neither at night or the following days�?

Ainda de acordo com a mesma fonte, “as empregadas de limpeza nunca viram camas vomitadas, nem nenhum dos hóspedes ingleses lhes falou nisso�?

Further, according to the same source, �?the cleaners never saw any beds with vomit or any of the English guests speak of this�?

Esta será uma das principais contradições que estão a intrigar a PJ e que a equipa liderada por Paulo Rebelo quer ver esclarecidas, numa altura em que dois amigos do casal McCann mostraram vontade em prestar novo interrogatório para “corrigir�?algumas declarações, segundo é referido pelo jornal espanhol ‘El Mundo�? Os dois ingleses terão pedido para que não seja divulgada a sua identidade, “para evitar possíveis pressões da parte da família McCann�?

This is once of the main contradictions that intrigues the PJ, and which the team, led by Paulo Rebelo wants clarified, at a stage in the investigations when two of the McCanns friends are interested in being questioned once more to “correct�?some of their statements, as mentioned in the spanish paper “El Mundo�? The two English nationals have requested that their identity is not revealed “to avoid possible pressure by the McCann family�?

Esta mudança de atitude surge depois de ter sido colocada a hipótese de algumas pessoas do grupo que passaram férias no Algarve serem constituídas arguidas, precisamente por terem prestado falsas declarações. This change of attitude has come about after the possibility that some of the friends who spent the holiday at the Algarve might be made arguidas (official suspects) precisely for having given false statements. The McCanns spent the holidays at the Ocean Club with twelve more people (three families) who seem to have a strong friendship between all of them. The police have cross checked their statements and found various contradictions.

Russell is married to Jane Tanne, they have two children, and she is one of the key witnesses in the case as she has says she saw at 9.10pm on 3rd May a male suspect with a child in his arms.

A essa hora, Gerry, pai de Maddie, estava na mesma rua a falar com um conhecido, Jeremy. Ambos negam ter visto Jane ou o suspeito. No grupo estavam ainda os casais Fiona e David Payne, com dois filhos, e Rachel e Matthew Oldfield, com uma filha. O mais velho elemento do grupo era Dianne Webster, de 63 anos, a única a dizer que cada casal ficava responsável pelos próprios filhos, não entrando nos apartamentos dos amigos.

At this time Gerry, Madeleines father, was in the same pathway talking with an acquaintance, Jeremy. Both have denied seeing Jane or the suspect. In the group were also the couples Fiona and David Payne with two children, and Rachel and Matthew Oldfield who have a daughter. The oldest member of the group, Diana Webster, 63 years old, is the only one who says that each couple were responsible for their own children and didnt enter the apartments of their friends.

Hey Ozzy welcome back. Wondered at the silence. Why on earth dont you use Linux ? You will never see the blue screen of death if you use Linux. Partition your drive and install Ubuntu for the internet. Anyway thats a mean trick to take you out of the forum and glad u r back.

Why would they fear pressure being put on them merely to say that about the sheets?

Or is that the excuse they are using so they can speak to the police in confidence about something much more important?

Hi SCS - am still in Brazil but weather in Sao Paulo was rain all week. Very welcome for the local people as there was a dry spell for nearly three months and talk of water shortage.

Computer traps have been cleared and have returned to plague the forum once more!

Another Mac user here - I'd never go back to the pc and that blue screen of death (as I tell my husband every time he gets the damn thing on his pc.  )
