A document classified confidential sent in May, from Portugal, by a British diplomat to a top responsible for the British government, suggests, for the first time, the possible responsibility of COUPLE MCCANN in the disappearing of their daughter Madeleine.
The diplomat speaks about " confused statements " regarding the timetable of the couple and their friends, but also about polarity e lack of collaboration with the Portuguese police, accusing one another British representative of diplomacy, present at Portugal, " of exceeding his powers and putting pressure on local authorities ".
In the document, the diplomat also asks for the confirmation of an order accepted from London, the day before, in that would be ordered a " complete help to the COUPLE MCCANN ", pointing out that the couple should " be permanently accompanied, in contacts with the Portuguese police ", by a diplomat or by the policemen sent from United Kingdom
' With the biggest respect, I point you out that step risks being very badly perceptible by Portuguese authorities, especially if they have consider the possible involvement of the couple. Would you be able to be confirmed me, faced with the last information, if we must continue getting involved in case as one asks for it in your previous message ', writes the diplomat.
Since the disappearing of Madeleine, the night of May 3rd, and the call telephonique from GERRY MCCANN to Alistair Clark, several British diplomats intervened in Portugal, to Portuguese authorities and to COUPLE MCCANN: Sheryl Dodd (sent by the government of Tony Blair), Bill Henderson (consul for Algarve), Celia Edwards (which in accompanied McCann during the cross-examinations which drove to their indictment) and John Buck (the ambassador), among others. Detail interesting, Sheryl Dodd in left its post in Foreign Office, Bill Henderson in retired, the ambassador John Buck in summer released from its functions in Lisbon and is not any more in Portugal.

Oh, Jaysus. I'm going to have to dredge up my schoolgirl French and see if I can translate this.
Will say this, though, if nothing else this case has made the French go up exponentially in my estimation.

They've been lieing and they're in the red and losing money and although they claim to employ 40 detectives they can only afford to employ 12.
Thank God for Mr.Kennedy and his wonderful double glazing spondooliks.

SOS Maddie is a blog, run not by Paulo Reis, but by Duarte Levy, who is a freelance journalist, who has written for the Times, El Mundo, NY Times and the French press. He is well respected, and a thorough investigator who undertakes 90% of the work for his articles himself, and sometimes in conjunction with P. Reis. His blog, with articles appearing daily, is a mine of information. Frequently, he has advance notice of news we only find out the following day- probably since he is understood to have connections within the PJ. This makes his late night MSN sessions with trusted posters particularly popular, as a source of 'inside' information.
The articles are available, translated into English, which is contorted, but understandable - definitely worth following, if you've got the time.

c m still as time to spin himself free. like to say, he was working on the side of justice all along...he was on to the mccanns...especially of in a trial he was a witness for the prosecution...and aid out what he would know are their lies.
anyway, all this is of course, if they are found guilty.
they could still be innocent.

Gerry McCann and the entire strong and influential McCann family warrant political intervention at all levels; GM has worked hard, climbed high and is protected. In turn, he's protected his wife, remember his wife, hot lips, the one who can't cope with anything, not her career, her children, her home, her nanny, her husband.
GM has had full total protection; gaps and speculation have got in because of Kate Healy who married him.
Susan Healy cannot understand. She said Gerry was not good enough for Kate. No, Susan, you've made a mistake. There doesn't exist a man good enough or capable enough to cope with Kate. A sad sad situation. Kate couldn't cope; Kate hated it and was so jealous of Gerry and Madeleine and G's unconditional love for Madeleine.

@mexx how many times will you tell your own dear-daddy story again?
we still don't know who "did it".
maybe gerry couldn't cope with family - holidays? how do you know what defect he has from his SISTERS? maybe he killed madeleine instead of phil?
that's the same thinking as your sick transmission of your own life.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's really interesting, thank you. I wonder where that information came from?
*******************************************************
Portugal - The police shot themselves in the foot by announcing to the world that the parents were suspects, without all the forensic tests being back and enough solid evidence.
Their only hope- if they cannot now pin it on the parents - is to put about the rumour that the police were - shall we say - 'lacking' - in their investigations under Amaral & Co.... because they were so pressured by British interests.
Thus any reason for failure can be ascribed to British interests and not to Portugal.
It would be a waste of time to leak it to a Portuguese newspaper and the British probably wouldn't produce the right 'flavour' article... so move it sideways to France and hope that it's picked up worldwide.
