A lot of people have questioned whether Kate would have been able to sit down and eat on the evening of May 3, participate in a quiz etc etc and act normally when her daughter had just died, accidentally or otherwise. I agree. She'd have been in total shock and unable to function, surely.

So has anybody ever read a report that mentions whether the creche staff actually confirm that Madeleine was there that afternoon?

I've had a good look and been unable to find one.

Shouldn't this be a line of questioning?

read today's mirror they have an account of the the whole day.

yes, she went a kids club from early morning to early afternoon

Mirror has a timeline today that reads like pure McSpin to me. Children in creche til 12.30pm, according to that.

This couple run like a timetable and also ran their holiday like one. Why take the kids on holiday in the first place ?

Yes we know that's the line but is this backed up by anyone? And if it was just till the early afternoon, what happened between 2.30 and 6.00?

This timeline is wrong:

6PM MADELEINE eats her ice cream as the group leave for their holiday apartment. It is the last time she is seen in public.

7.30PM KATE gives Madeleine a bath, then dries her hair, carefully taking out a bead she had put in earlier in the week.

Then she helps her into her pink pyjamas and puts her to bed next to the twins' cots at around 8pm.

As Madeleine snuggles up to her beloved Cuddle Cat toy, she says: "Mummy, I've had the best day ever. I'm having lots and lots of fun."

8PM KATE and Gerry spend half an hour together before meeting friends at the tapas bar, as usual, at 8.30pm. It has a view of the apartments 50 metres away where they are all staying. The McCanns choose not to use the baby-sitting service.

8.30PM THE couple meet seven others at the restaurant including Russell O'Brien and his wife Jane Tanner as well as Dr Matthew Oldfield and his wife Rachael.

9PM GERRY is the first to return to the block, checking on his children at 9.05pm. He sees all three children sound asleep. On his way back to the restaurant, Gerry bumps into Brit Jeremy Wilkins, with whom he had played tennis. Jane Tanner goes to check on her daughter who is ill.

1. Everything after 6.00pm is hearsay and is based solely on the McCanns' sole testimony.

3. The McCanns arrived at the tapas bar at 8.40pm, and

4. The other couples arrived later, drifting in in pairs until 9pm.

Sol, the Guardian , The News Of The World and The Sun have all said that she was picked up from creche at 6pm. The Sun did a timeline a couple of days ago. The News of The World says the creche staff saw her at 6pm.

"The last time Madeleine was seen alive was by staff at the Ocean Club creche at 6pm."

Today's Mirror however seems to think they spent the afternoon "pottering about" before going to a restaurant with their friends and their kids. There was also a version in the Times that said that all the kids played together for an hour before bed and that Maddie was last seen just before 7pm.

"Each evening the group followed a pattern of giving the children tea together and then playing with them for an hour before putting them to bed. The children, worn out, were soon asleep. ...On the evening of May 3, the last moment when Madeleine was definitely seen alive by anybody other than the McCanns was at about 7pm as the group put their children to bed. "
