 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jon Gaunt, in today's 'Sun', has actually shown that he sees
through the PR Spin, & he wants us to have ANSWERS
- not Stunts - from Team McCann. (He has a Column, in' The Sun', every Tuesday, & he hosts a Radio Show, on TalkSport, from Monday to Friday).
NEVER MIND THE SPIN, LET'S HAVE SOME ANSWERS
If the McCanns had organised their child care as meticulously as as their
Press & PR campaign then perhaps, just perhaps, little Maddie would never have made the headlines.
I'm sorry, but their relentless moth-like pursuit of the media spotlight is beginning to get me down.
Whatever we think about the Portuguese police, the fact remains that the McCanns are suspects, not TV personalities.
As much as I don't want any more leaks from the police, I don't want TV crews invited to follow the McCanns on their walk to mass and I don't want stories about them having to sell houses or tycoons funding legal cases.
If this was a working-class couple on a holiday in a Blackpool caravan park, by now their other kids would be in care and the Press would never have fallen into line with a slick PR machine orchestrated by two suspects.
While we're at it, can we just nail the myth that the British public are supporting the McCanns - they are not.
Most people are sympathetic to the fact that they have lost a child, as they would be with any parent going through such agony.
 NEGLECT
But there is a world of difference between sympathy and support. I don't know if they are involved in Maddie's disappearance but I know that they are guilty of neglect - and millions of Brits agree with me. Gerry and Kate must explain why they did not use the babysitting service.
The defence of "I didn't want to leave them with a stranger" would be laughable if its consequences weren't so tragic.
Instead of leaving them with a stranger, two highly educated doctors thought it was safer to leave them home alone with the door open?
I'm sorry, I just don't buy it. Kate and Gerry should get straight back to Portugal with the rest of the Tapas Nine and answer the following questions:
Why did she wash Cuddle Cat?
What time did they go to dinner?
How many other nights were the kids left home alone on this holiday?
Only when we get straight answers to straight questions in a court of law will we start to unravel what really became of poor little Maddie.
 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, not all of the UK Press falls for the McCanns PR Stunts & Spin.

yes, slowly but surely the tide is turning, as I said on another thread the Mc's haven't learned from earlier mistakes.

About bluudy time too .... I hope this is the start of decent reporting and asking the relevant questions now.
Why did you think it was okay to leave the children?
Why do you STILL insist it was okay?

I think even the press are getting tired of this media and PR frenzy by the McCANNS.
Good for him for speaking out.

Ha!
Which reporter did Gerry phone the other day?
If it wasn't this one, it WAS definitely one of his colleagues.
