HiDeHo Whilst looking for a pic of the blue tennis bag, it occurred to me that (although there probably isnt one due to the date it went missing) some of the research accomplshed here on Mirror Forums could be of tremendous value to the PJ.
We probably assume they have all they need but the bag, as an example, could take them precious time to research possible pictures.
There may be other very co-incidental details that are of importance that they may have missed and although I'm sure there is a lot of useful info here on forums, I doubt they have the time to check into some of the very important issues discussed.
I suggest we use this thread to 'collect' any important details that could be of value to them
The Government connections thread as an example.
I believe some things have been sent to them, but I'm sure it would still be appreciated if they had easy access to some of the incredible details that members here have spent time on.
I believe I have their email address somewhere..I would send it to them.
What do you think? Good idea?
If so...
What information that they may have overlooked, or not had time to research, do you think could be valuable to them?

I will constantly edit/update this message for easy reference..
I am under no illusion that whatever we can send is going to create some major breakthrough...but at the very least it shows we support what they are doing...
Before there are any other rude comments...remember this is an opportunity for EVERYONE to point the PJ in the direction of information..
I will have no bias in what I send...If there is anything regarding the McCanns innocence that should be brought to the PJ's attention then I will send the link.
Its not really advantageous to make comments that attack others' efforts...Input would, however, not only help with credibility but if you believe in their innocence, now is the time to help them!
A unique opportunity that I don't believe anyone should miss if they care!

I think the Rothley Court Hotel info should be sent to them, along with a suggestion that they arrange for dogs to sniff out the place.... Maddy may have been lain to rest there. Sure send all the info to the PJ, sure they would find it invlauable, although most of it was leaked by them in their smear campain of unfounded accusatiosn and rumours so.... [quote="HiDeHo"]
I believe I have their email address somewhere..[quote]

"Somewhere"? Oh my god, you've not lost the PJ's email address, have you?
Talk about the incompetent leading the incompetent! Excellent idea. [quote="terrybull"][quote="HiDeHo"]

Not to mention the incompetence of British parents to look after their own children terrybull. Apparently, you live in thriving abduction fodder country according to the McCann's "We all do it" excuse. How do you feel about that fact?? You should mail them if you have got relevant information. They read every mail: [email protected]
Merry Xmas to you! Thank you rainwoman.
It seems to be one of those simple things that could make a tremendous difference.
There may not be one peice of info that we send them that could be of any help (though I doubt it) but as I mentioned...SUPPOSING they needed a picture of the blue bag or anything that many of us have archived, can you imagine the hours of searching it may take them, when we could very well produce it with the great resources and effort everyone puts into each thread here.
This is a unique opportunity to 'help' them in any way possible regardless of whether it is something that could show the innocence of the McCanns or not!
They can't approach us for help but I could only imagine their faces to see some 'investigative' time consuming research right there at their fingertips whether it was ultimately of use or not...
Our Christmas gift to them!
(Unless someone knows a reason not to)
Any suggestions which info could be of use to them?
Links to threads that may be important or hold researched info and co-incidences? I feel like emailing them to say that they've become idols on here, and good luck with the interviews, but I think I'd look a bit silly.
Have others emailed them support? I'll add your comment to the email Blamhappy! [quote="terrybull"][quote="HiDeHo"]

But enough about the PJ ..... Don't you mean the incompetent, leading the incompetent, leading the incompetent? 'Could the PJ use our help?'
I think the PJ could use all the help they can get!
To the batcave! I think it is an excellent idea. I've often thought that it would be benficial for them to read this forum so go for it!!! See Page 2 cont.... |

I sent support twice with points of view, including I spotted that the "last" photo at pool doesn't match the indicated time of the cam with the shadows.
HI,Pleased to meet you and Merry Xmas to all when applies.
(I'd just sent that here, must have been reported!) Blamhappy Well done.
When I lived up north for uni, the police were brilliant, responding effiiciently when we had trouble. I sent the local station a letter of thanks and got a lovely letter in return.
It's nice to support those doing a hard job. for the good of the people. beachy HiDeHo, whilst I admire your willingness to make the effort to do everything possible to help the PJ, I really don't think some of the things you are proposing to send them would be of that much assistance. The thread I started entitled "The Theory of the Crime," for instance, was based on my thinking, and I know nothing about Portuguese law. Please at the least leave that one out.
I also doubt very seriously that they will have time to look through a thread that is 1931 pages long, written in a language that many of their officers probably do not speak. I do not know how many inspectors they have, but I cannot imagine that in a nation of 10 million people their force is that large. This case has probably taxed their manpower considerably, as they will have all their regular casework, as well as this additional burden.
Instead of sending them all this stuff, how about writing them an e-mail, include the links to the threads bearing good wishes, and explaining to them what the Mirror forum is and how it might possibly be helpful? Invite them to get in touch with you if they would like you to read all the threads and send them links. (If you should receive a favourable reply to that question and need help going back and reading cached material, let me know; I'll gladly help you.) Ask them if there are particular topics they would like to see, such as links to articles in the British papers or any specific issues they would like you to keep an eye out for. Perhaps they might provide an e-mail address to an English-speaking analyst or administrative person who could receive the e-mail directly, screen the information for them, and pass along anything that might be useful. It's a very good idea, but if we inundate them, nothing is likely to get read.
If there are specific things we could do for them, perhaps they could let us know about it. For instance, I have been researching the U.S. Supreme Court decisions in the Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals cases (both decisions, Daubert I and II), which were referenced in Judge Weir's decision in the Omagh case. I have the help, via e-mail, of an American friend who is a senior attorney for the United States Department of Justice and works with that decision all the time and have amassed quite a bit of information about it in the past week. Perhaps all of it is available in Portugal, but I have it all in one document, with links and sources, so it would make for quick reading.
Above all, I don't want to insult them. That is one of the most competent investigative agencies in Europe. They will have their own sources of information, and I am not at all sure they need the help of members of an internet forum. It doesn't hurt to ask, as a means of expressing our support, but we should also be prepared for them to say they do not need our help. Blamhappy To be completely honest, I agree with beachy.I do very much like the idea of emailing support and good wishes though.
But beachy, I think you should get in touch and offer the assistance that you mentioned in your post. It sounds brilliant. I can imagine they might find that useful. HiDeHo Beachy, I thank you very much for your input...I am rushing out the door and will read your post a little later.
The object of me posting my intentions was to get the input as opposed to going ahead myself.
Examples of 'threads' were hopefully to inspire other more important possibilities.
Like many others I do not have time to keep a constant vigilance on all threads and important details and your post proves my point that without posting they may miss out on some valuable information that you can provide them if they choose!
I would attempt to make them aware that this isnt meant to undermine their capabilities by any means, but I also do not underestimate some details that, their time does not allow, being researched by members.
Thank you everyone for your input..
I must go...I only have 6 hrs left for Christmas shopping...ALL of it!
I will re-assess the email tonight. newlife [quote="rainwoman"]You should mail them if you have got relevant information. They read every mail: dic.portimao@pj.pt
