n Diario de Noticias:
http://tinyurl.com/22lregOn the night Madeleine McCann was abducted, on May 3, over 20 persons may have entered the appartment where she spent her holidays with her parents, at the Ocean Club,
in Praia da Luz, "destroying evidence and decisive, fundamental clues" for Policia Judiciaria (PJ) to identify who kidnapped the girl.
This situation was admitted yesterday to Diario de Noticias by the PJ's spokesman, Olegario Sousa, according to whom "the presence of so many persons, especially
in the bedroom where the child slept with her siblings, could, at least, have complicated the Scientific Police's work and,
in the utmost, have destroyed evidence. It may even have been fatal for the investigation."
As DN could find out, right after Gerard and Kate McCann detected the disappearance of Madeleine, around 9.30 pm, over 20 persons entered the room, between friends and family who were there on vacation with the couple and their children, and also many tourists and resort employees, who, out of natural worry and anxiety, searched everywhere for the british child, rummaging beds, cupboards and other furniture, opening and closing doors and windows.
Although the appartment was
immediately sealed that night by the authorities, this situation ended up eliminating possible traces of the passage of the person who took the british girl from the appartment.
On the other hand, a large part of the forensic
tests that were done
in the appartment where the McCanns were staying,
in the villa where the mother of Robert Murat (the only arguido
in this case for suspicion of kidnapping) lives, which is 200 m from the spot, and
in their vehicles, and
in other locations, have
not yet reached the hands of the investigation's coordinators, contrary to what was said by a national daily newspaper yesterday, said Olegario Sousa to DN yesterday.
