�?Her boyfriend arrived home at 04H00 the following morning (04 May 2007);
�?Apart from this moment, she became aware of the facts through the media;

�?Knows of the recent disappearance of a minor of British nationality who was a guest in one of the various apartments in the complex in which she works;
�?Was aware that the disappearance occurred on the night of 03 May 2007, adding that she became aware of the facts the following morning when she arrived at work;
�?States that she was notified by a work colleague;
�?Witness confirms that the missing child and her respective family frequented the establishment where she works in order to breakfast;
�?Cannot precisely state the exact date when the family ate there but is certain that they were present at the beginning of the week;
�?Believed that the family appeared normal and demonstrated affection towards each other;
�?Did not notice any abnormal behaviour within the family;
�?Also denied ever having witness strange/suspect movements of third parties in the presence of the child or her family;
�?Has no knowledge of any other similar (above) occurrences in the Praia da Luz village or in the immediate surrounding areas.

*That she is employed by the "The Ocean Club", having been contracted in April of the present year for a duration of seven months. That she had been employed by the same establishment on earlier occasions, doing the same work.
Dice que tiene como función recibir a los clientes en la entrada del restaurante “Millenium�?y verificar si estos deben abonar el desayuno o si ya está incluido en su reserva. Que ejerce las referidas funciones entre las 7h00 y las 12h00, de martes a sábado. Aclara que solo atiende a los clientes durante el desayuno, excepto los miércoles, día en que el restaurante hace la “Noche de la Barbacoa�? en la que la declarante, además del horario del desayuno, trabaja también desde las 18h00 hasta las 22h00, recibiendo a los clientes durante la cena.
*She says that her job was to receive the clients in the entrance to the "Millenium" and to verify if they must pay for the breakfast or if it is included in their reservation. She afirms that shes on duty between 7.00 and 12.00, from Tuesday to Saturday. She afirms she only attends the clients during the breakfast period, except the Wednesdays, when the restaurant puts on a "B-B-Q night", when in addition to the breakfast she also worked from 18.00 til 22.00, receiving the guests during the dinner period.
Preguntada, responde que debido a sus funciones conoce prácticamente a todos los clientes del O.C., ya que la mayoría acude al restaurante Millenium, porque es el único restaurante del complejo que sirve el desayuno.
*When asked, she says that because of her job she knows almost all the guests, because they majority of them go to the Millenium to breakfast, as it is the only restaurant in the complex which serves breakfast.
Instada, dice que conoce a la familia McCann, compuesta por los padres, unos gemelos y la desaparecida Madeleine. Que la declarante recibió a la familia McCann para el desayuno del martes, miércoles y jueves, desconociendo si los mismos desayunaron allí el domingo y lunes ya que la declarante se encontraba de descanso.
*When asked, she says she knows the McCann family,the parents the twins and the missing Madeleine. She had received them for breakfast on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. She doesn´t know if they breakfasted there the Sunday or Monday because those were her days off.

*She goes on to specify the breakfast was served betweeen 8h00 and 10h00 and that the McCanns were accustumed to enter the "Millenium" between 8h00 and 9h00.

Aclara que el único contacto que tiene con los clientes del “Millenium�?es a la entrada, no teniendo visibilidad a las mesas o a la zona del Buffet.
*She states that the McCanns appeared to be a normal family and that the couple seemed to get on well. That Madeleine was very close to her father, always clinging to him. Because of her job, she made herself agreeable to all the clients, putting especial emphasis on children, and Cecilia noticed that Madeleine was very timid and didn´t respond to her overtures. She specified that her only contact withthe Millenium clients is at the entrance, not having the tables or the buffet area in eyesight.

What do we make of this?
Apart from that they are lying from day one?

Concerning the issue of the process said;
. States that since last March, her employee functions are in the restaurant in the Ocean Club;
. Specifies that her hours of are from 16H00 to 24H00, every day of the week with exception of Mondays and Tuesdays, which correspond to weekly her days off;
. That, according to what she remembers, the parents of the missing child, accompanied with said minor, and her siblings, as is the case with various other couples and children, went to dinner in this restaurant on the night of Saturday, the 28th of April;
. That this was the last time which the frequented the restaurant, as after that they began frequenting the Tapas restaurant, allegedly as it was located closer to where they were lodged;
. That she had knowledge of the missing child, on the night of her disappearance, shortly after 22H00, when various people went to the Millennium restaurant, to and asked whether they had seen her as the parents had realised her disappearance and that the authorities had been alerted. Many people were already looking for her in the area;
. That the deponent was working, her colleagues went looking for the child, that night, and the stated that they returned home at 01 in the morning;
. In that which concerns the specific facts of the investigation, she states that she has nothing relevant to offer;
. States that she exercises her functions in that restaurant, which is situated in an area away from the apartment where the McCann family was staying;
. But mentions that in the days preceding the disappearance of the child Madeleine she did not notice any strange movements in the tourist resort;
. Adds that all over the resort there is lost of movement, making it hard to determine if anything abnormal is occurring;
. As already states, clarifies that on the day/time of the occurrence, she was working;
. That she has no knowledge of other elements that may contribute for the good of the investigation;

�?For about seven years has lived and worked in Portugal, and although she is of Moldovian nationality, she is fluent in Portuguese and does not require the services of a translator;
�?She was worked at The “Ocean Club�?resort for six years as a cook in the Millenium restaurant;
�?Relative to the facts of the investigation, on May 04, 2007, at around 06H50, she received a ride from her work colleague Alice, who informed her that a female child who was staying with her family in an Ocean Club apartment had disappeared the night prior;
�?She states that she never saw the child in question, nor did she ever see her siblings or parents, except when various pictures of the family began showing on newspapers and television and in many spots around Lagos;
�?It is normal for her not to have had any contact with the McCanns due to her line of work and only saw the parents of the missing child and Madeleine’s sibling after the disappearance;
�?Confirms that on the day of the disappearance, May 03, 2007, she worked in the restaurant from the hours of 07H00 to 15H00 which were her usual hours of work from Tuesday through Saturday.
�?After work she went home where she stayed until 17H00 leaving only for thirty minutes to go shopping. She returned home, where she stayed until 06H50 the next day (04 May 2007) in the company of her family (husband, two sons, and two brothers), which coincided with the hour she received the ride from her colleague;

�?As waiter and bar worker, he has direct contact with clients;
�?Hours of work are 07H30 to15H30, every day except Wednesday and Thursday, when he is off work;
�?Specifies, meanwhile, that his place of work is frequented principally by individuals who are guests, the majority of which are British nationals;
�?But it is possible for non-guests to enter the restaurant but that these individuals are restricted to an area (restaurant and bar) and are not admitted to adjacent areas (such as the garden, pool, and tennis courts);
�?The aforementioned areas can only be used by guests of the “Ocean Club”—services for that establishment can be accessed from 08H00 to 01H00;
�?For reasons of security, all those entering the restaurant are registered
�?And must show their card (that shows their name(s), apartment number, check-in and out date) to gain entry;
�?In regards to the Thursday in question, since it was his day off, he was not around the tourist resort;
�?On the morning of the disappearance, he was around the area of Luz, taking care of personal matters and returned home around 11H30/12H00;
�?He spend the afternoon of may 3, 2007, at home and again left around 17H30 to go for dinner to a restaurant “O Marujo�?with his mother in Praia da Luz;
�?Following dinner, he used public transport to get to Lagos;
�?He only found out about the disappearance on Friday morning, when he showed up for work;
�?Specifies that he cannot add anything more since he was in the are when the disappearance occurred and did not witness any strange movements/suspicious behaviour in the previous months;
�?Relative to the McCann family, he can add nothing related to the case but only can state that they frequented that commercial establishment in the morning (at breakfast time);
�?He cannot guaranty with certainty but believes that they were clients at that time;

. The witness works in the Millennium kitchen, related to the Ocean Club (LOC);
. The specifics of her functions do not involve habitual contact with the clients of the club who go there for the refreshment period;
. That only when the doors are open do the functionaries enter and leave the eating areas which is ample opportunity to observe these spaces albeit in a small amount of time;
. She entered the LOCA on the past April 11, this being her first job;
. Since this day she has been working the same job, which begins at 15H30 until 24H00;
She enjoys two days off per week, which last week occurred on the 01/05 and 02/05, or Tuesday and Wednesday;
. When the events of the situation related to the disappearance of the minor occurred, she was in the club, and only learnt of events when they began to be circulated;
. She does not know the family of the child and much less the group of friends who accompanied them;
. She does not know where they had their living quarters;
. She only saw pictures of the child which were exhibited on television and other outlets and were posted on some vehicles and which circulated in the immediate Praia da Luz area;
. Despite no having anything to add, she states that on the night of the disappearance of the child she heard a cry for help in the search which reached where she worked;
. This locale is some hundred of metres from the site with that what was said, known that it had happened, close to the restaurant ‘Tapas�?where the mother of the questioned (Maria de Jesus) on this day was on a ‘day off�?
. Questioned, she states that she is not aware of any other facts that would demonstrate useful to the location of the child;
. She did not note any strange comportment of any person that would lead her to question whether s/he was involved in the disappearance of the child;

. Always lived in Lisbon, but about 5 years ago, together with her husband, established themselves in Praia da Luz, Lagos;
. States that she is an emplyee, for about one month, of the restaurant known as Millennium, a site also in Praia da Luz, Lagos, more specifically, in the proximity of the block of apartments, known as the Ocean Club, where the facts of the investigation are occurring;
. Mentions that she exercises her functions as and kitchen worker, or auxiliary in the kitchen in the execution of refreshments, dish-washing, and for this reason maintains no direct contact with the clients of the same;
. But mentions that she exercises her functions between the period of 16H00 and 24H00, every day of the week with the exception of Thursdays and Fridays, days on which she is ‘off�? Her ‘days off�?are fixed;
. States that she is unaware of those who frequently visit the restaurant where she works;
. Does not know, equally, the rules of the commercial establishment, namely, in terms of admission of individuals and the use of interior and exterior space;
. The installations and services of that commercial enterprise can be accessed from 08H00 to 24H00;
. On Thursday, the date the facts occurred, she was ‘off�?work, and was not located near the tourist establishment;
. Specifies that she passed the day in question in her residence and also on Friday and further adds that she did not leave her home as she was ill, with grippe, and laid down the entire time;
. In that which concerns what happened, states that she became aware of the facts via social communication organs;
. States that she can add nothing further of interest, and she did not find herself fin the area when the facts occurred;
. Does not know the specifics of who frequented that commercial establishment, as already stated, she works in the kitchen, and in these services has no direct visual contact with the areas where clients may be;
. Furthers that she has no other information related to the situation;
