I'm working with a neighbor slash metalworker who is helping me set up a jig for body panels (front/rear fenders, rear doors, side door skins and floor sections)

If I make a few extra, will there be any interest from you other patrol owners out there?  We've already made the rear fenders (complete rear quarters, actually.  Thicker than original, seam welded, not stitched) and I'm really happy with the results.

He suggested, since we can basically make an entire Patrol body at this point, to see if there would be any interest or suggestions.

Please reply.

Vlad

Definitely interested since it is becoming more difficult to get good body parts.

One of the rear sliding windows on each side has a small metal clip that after window is closed can be flipped down infront of the other window which prevents opening.
Hope that helps

Vladimier,

One body part I would be interested in would be some repair panels for the rear quarter wheel openings.  My rig like many others was butchered to accomodate the wrong size tires on the wrong rims.  These would be relatively easy to make, A flat piece with a flange rolled for the lip of the fender.  The top could have a small z bend in it to allow it to be spot welded flush to the existing quarter panel.

That part seems to have been a common request, and it is a piece we are putting together.

Hi
Can a rear tub be made, maybe alluminium so no more rust problems but I need the mid wheelbase version?

Hi,   I was wondering what you would be asking for a rear 1/4 panel ? Can you post a picture of the 1/4 panel you have made? What are your prices on other panels? I have one real good hardtop & one real Rusty one. I might try to make a roof top panel. I was thinking of making a 1/4 panel that had a little more flair in it to clear bigger tires.  But buying your 1/4 panels would be less work. Thanks Denny

My floor panels are rusted through on both sides, so they will probibly need to be replaced. Or I could use POR paint over rust, but I wan't to stay away from that stuff. Please write in on cost and other info. By the way I have a 69' L60.

Thanks Jeff

hey vlad, i have a 66 and the right side of the patrol got swiped by a tree.  the last owner had a little incident.  he hit it going pretty fast, not a whole bunch of damage but enough to need to be replaced.  the thing i need is a right front fender.  it is rusted and he tried to fill it w/ bondo but it didn't quite work.  i am not sure if it could be fixed.  it might but just to be sure i was wondering what you would price that at.  my email is [email protected].  thanks.

Vlad,
I would be interested in some floor panels. Mine are totally rusted out. If this is something you are working on and the price is right, I would be interested. I have a 69 patrol.

Thanks!

How much would you charge me for that curved top piece of the front fenders? The mostly flat part that curves down in the front and on the sides? I could really use them!

Hey guys,
I don't think the person who started this message is still with us. It was a touchy subject for awhile. Try Ian for body parts at [email protected] or [email protected] . Or post on the RMP&O forum   http://www.rockymountianpatrol.netfirms.com//phpbb/nfphpbb/index.php
