Does anyone have a spare ragtop. I have 66 patrol with no top. I beleave it is a ragtop since it has these small metal pegs on the side of the car and on the rear doors. Any idea on prices these go for. I live in California. Please let me know Thanks...Still looking for fron turn signal for 69. I need the lense only but whole assembly would be better. Thanks

I went to Mexico (TJ) and had them make me one. 7 or 8 years ago the price was $225.00 made from all U.S. materials. I have been very happy with it. Just about any upholstery shop in TJ would do it. I live about 1-1/2 hours from the border and they did it in 1 day. arrived early, Spent the day shopping and sight seeing, picked up my 62 with a new top at 5 P.M.

Hey Nubie!

Funny u should ask, Im in the process of... or should say waiting on a rag top from INDIA. See in INDIA they use the PATROL as thier "JEEP" for thier ARMY. They call it a Jonga. Im expecting it any day (week) now, so Ill let you know how it turns out. At which time my contact said he woldnt mind doing it for others here in the club.

I kind of expect it to be TOO long though.. in that I belive they have the LWB over there... but I will see, I really expected to just get it to have a good patern to work from. That is to say it would be easier to make one, a shorter one with one to compare to then nothing at all. Reason being I want it to look as orginal as posiable.

I am curious....was the TJ top just the canvas?? Sounds like the other guy needs the whole deal, ie frame & canvas....not so easy to have the frame made in a day but could be done. Pretty hard to have the rails made for the top of the doors though....canvas, that is no prob, any good canvas shop could get it done for $200-500 bucks. And most of the frame can be made fairly easy by a good welder, except the roof rail also known as cantrail. For most of us a drive to TJ is a major deal and not an option.

I am interested in your Jonga connection Grant....I also want org on at least my 64 ragtop. Now that I have all the pins to hold the canvas on I need the grouments in the canvas that snap to the pins....then I can get a custom stock look alike made that will be insulated. Insulated S/T sounds kinda funky but it works great and living in the cold Rockies it is needed for me. Please let us know how it turns out Grant when you get it.....
