Living on the edge of a no. of Victorias Desert Parks I enjoy regular trips through these areas.

I recently bought my first 4wd, an in-betweener until I could one day afford a Toyota which I believed to be the ultimate offroader. I bought a vehicle that I could learn to 4wd in, and not worry about too much when I went into a tree. What I bought seems to be the start of a wonderful adventure HA HA. and the more I learn about the vehicle the more I start to love it. It is a 1978 G60 Patrol, and as far as I can tell stock standard other than extractors. I have recently been getting quotes for the truck, and having a lot of fun, a lot of things are either extinct or very expensive. Its becoming more and more fun running and maintaining it, especially when I am between jobs. Feel free to email me about my own truck, or if you would like to give me some advice!

Im lucky enough to live next to Fraser Island - one of the great 4wd recreation area's around with unlimited beach driving, rainforests, fishing and camping. Ive been up to Cape York three times ( the northern tip of Australia - just under New Guinea ) what an adventure - cant wait to go again - on one trip the track was so bad my headlights and grill peice fell off, broke one shock absorber, roofrack snapped off and i met a guy whose bullbar had snapped off. I put my headlights back on and later that day they were falling out again...so i left them off. the corrugations up there would shake the fillings out of your teeth.....but what a trip....cant wait to go again
