Modifications required to be done to FJ-40 axle before being swapped under rear of G60:
-Move spring perches outward 2"
-Clearance driveshaft and pinion flange bolt holes with cone-shaped drill grinding attatchment until 3/8" bolts will fit through, even though at odd angle.
-Make hybrid brake lines(one end with FJ-40 fitting, other end with Patrol fitting).
-Get longer flexible brake hose, or move existing mount to left axle tube.
-Rig up new shock mounts. |
