I am trying to find a lift kit that would allow me to put 33x9.5'' tires on my 1969 KL60.  Any recommendations would help.  I would like to keep it as original as possible.  I noticed there is a suspension kit for a G60 that would give a 2'' lift.  I am not familiar with the G60, would that fit on a 1969 KL60?  Any feedback greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Swede

Hey swede!

Check out the clubs parts web links at:

http://communities.msn.com/NissanPatrolClubAlbuquerque/partsweblinks.msnw

There are a two companys that make after market leaf springs that will give you a 2" lift:

http://www.ironmansuspension.com/nissan/NISpswb.htm -

and

http://www.carrolls.com.au/4wd_cat.htm -

Price is about the same for both, I got the kit from ironman minus the leaf springs (im going for the stock look) and I can voutch for their parts, real quality stuff! And they ship them pretty fast. Only down side it when you order the big leaf springs, they have to use a different shipper, thus it takes about 30 day via a slow boat from AUS. But, in this limited parts arena known at the G60 we dont have much to choose from! <G>

The indian nissan uses some lift(maybe becouse of the heavyduty suspension provided by the makes becouse it is supposed to haul anti aircraft missile launchers). It used 30'' tires as standard and even then there is a 11'' gap between the tire and the wheel arch.the leafs also seem thicker.People here usually put truck deisel motors(sometimes 6 l ones),which weigh twice more or atleast 1.5 times more than the original motor but the suspension alway takes it easy and never seems to overload

Even with the relatively lighter Hino engine I had to add an extra leaf on all four ends as the front had sagged badly and the rear lost all travel after I put a hard top to the Patrol. I also had to add heavy duty shocks in the front as the OEM ones could hardly do the job. The Hino being a 4 cylinder weighs apprx. 100Kg more than the six cylinder petrol engine.<o:p></o:p>

Hello

You are receiving this form letter because you have expressed interest in

the Ironman suspension product line. Any price requests or special info that you have

requested will be included below.

As you might already know, Ironman is new to the USA but is being used world

wide. The suspension kits are manufactured in Australia and then shipped here to the USA.

I am now placing the first stock order. It has taken much longer than first expected to

get everything together, but the ball is now rolling.

We are taking deposits from all those who wish to order at this time. All

interested parties will have 2 weeks to reply because we would like to get all orders sent

to Ironman by the 2nd week of July.

All must agree to the following conditions to receive their lift kits.

1. I must have a credit card deposit of at least 65% of the purchase price.

2. It will take up to 65-75 days to receive the shipment, reason being that

the factory may take 30 days to fill an order, considering they are filling orders

for the entire globe. The remaining time will be in transit by ship to the USA an then a

short delay while the shipment is cleared by customs.

3. Once the cargo container is at the dock and has cleared customs, I will

have the lift kits shipped to us here in AZ by tractor trailer. I will then

ship them by UPS to you as soon as possible.

These conditions will be in effect until we can get our inventory built up to an

acceptable level. This may take up to 6 months to accomplish, but could happen sooner

because we will be ordering on a semi-monthly or monthly basis depending on amount of

requests. At that time, those who order will

receive their lift kit in a more timely fashion. It is our goal to provide you with

outstanding customer service along with an outstanding product.
