I own a 78 Patrol MWB -does anybody know if I can get any with increasing the shackles by 3 inch. without causing to many problems to the steering and suspension?
I only need to lift the 4x4 by 1.5 inch to fit my new tyres better and can do it all for $400 including longer shocks.

You should have no problems, for every inch longer the shackles are you get a half inch of lift so three inchs would be perfect.

Longer shackles raise the center if gravity of the vehicle and causes a situation that the vehicle may fall to a side when it takes turns. By itself it may not upset the camber and caster. I don't advise.
