General Description

1962 Nissan L60 Patrol ?One of only 975 Canvas top Patrols to come to the US. This is the oldest one known to still exist (according the registry at NissanPatrolClubAlbuquerque/usapatrolregistry). It might even be the very first to come to the US.

She is not perfect, and she has the wear & tear that you’d expect from an unrestored 46 year old truck. She runs well and I would not hesitate to drive her most anywhere. Although the top speed is about 55 MPH.

The top is brand new and has been on the truck less than 2 months. It is made of Modern Hartz Stayfast canvas from an original pattern. The frame work is all original. A couple of pieces had to be straightened and it was all freshly powder coated. The total cost of the top was over $2,000.

The suspension is approx 2 years old (less than 200 miles) and is a 2 ½ inch lift from Dobinsons in Australia. (parts cost was about $1200) The tires are Big O M/T 31x10.50R15LT, mounted on Rock Crawler Rims.

This is truly a unique truck, and a good candidate for restoration or just heading out to the trails.
