When your life is on a downer,
And you've nowhere left to turn,
When what was once a joke,
Now cuts deep and makes you burn.
When everythings a trial
And you dont know how long you'll last,
When all you have are memories,
Of the good times now long past.
When you cannot see in front of you,
For the tears that stain your eyes,
And everyone that speaks to you,
Just seems to tell you lies.
When Love is just a word,
And the feelings are a score,
When the people all around you,
Dont seem to care no more.
When your purse is always empty,
And your cup is never full,
When you think that its all over,
And the strings you cannot pull.
When the struggles are too much,
And you cant find your way out,
When you feel you are ignored,
And no longer have the clout.
When the smile that you once wore,
To brighten up your face,
Is constantly a frown,
From a hellish kinda place.
When you cannot find a reason,
To live just one more day,
And you think it would be easy,
To end it all some way.
Then all I ask is lean on me,
Just take my friendship hand,
And through the trials and tribulations,
Along with you I'll stand,
Cos beside you is where I would want to be.
