I Will Always Remember

9-11 will always be remembered.
That awful day In September!
When so many lost their lives.
We heard their screams and cries!
How it broke our hearts that day!
To hear all the pain and tears!
The suffering of loved ones!
Lost loved ones and the pain that it cost!
Still we fight within our country.
Saying it a sin to fight against terrorist acts!
When we don’t have all the facts!
On who did this or that!
We sit back day after day!
Allow our freedom to be taken a way!
By people who have no right.
To come to our land to fight!
What will it take for us to stand up!
And say enough is enough!
No our freedom is not free!
Look what it has cost you and me!
But we can go to sleep at night!
Knowing our Soldiers are there fighting!
To keep them from controlling our land!
From across the sea!
What gives you the right!
To say we must not fight!
To hold what is ours by right!
That our fathers fought to keep us free!
Down through the centuries!
I stand here and say I am so proud today!
That I live in a Land that I can call Free!

Hi Debbie  Yes, how quickly time passes. I don't believe anyone who witnessed the events of 9/11 will ever forget them. At that moment in time, wherever we were and whatever we were doing, we came to the realisation that the world we knew had changed forever. Our children will need to work harder than ever if they are to reinstate the peace and freedom that we all cherish and seek. One wonders if this can in fact be done, given that all people seem bent upon different ideals and lack the intelligence and flexibility to work toward the common good of mankind. We can however pray,

regards
John
