Roses by: Seraph here i stand- behind suburban white -picket fences in between my mother's prize winning roses immaculately manicured lawns running barefoot through the grass as a child again, wide eyed and innocent my parents overshadowing. here i stand behind suburban white -picket fences my mothers prize winning roses beheaded underneath my feet a rainbow carpet of rose petals with a glint in my eye as a young adult, critical and cruel overshadowing my parents here i stand- behind suburban white -picket fences my parents buried beneath prize winning roses a spectrum of feelings standing in the rain today i feel like a child again my parents overshadowing. here i lie- in the cold ground where i came from prive winning roses strewn over me lying in the immaculately manicured lawns my children stand mourning in the grass children- like whom i used to once be my parents - beckoning
