CROCKPOT HOT COCOA
3/4 c Sugar (or to taste)
3/4 c Cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1/2 c Hot water
1/2 gallon Milk
1/2 - 1 teaspoont Vanilla extract
In large saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, water and milk. mix well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. heat to serving temperature, DO NOT boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Transfer to prewarmed crockpot with lid. Serve hot, with whipped cream or marshmallows. This recipe can be doubled. it will keep all evening in a crockpot on warm setting, so its great for a get together. |
