I'll be flying up to Washington, DC this afternoon where I will meet some of my military buddies for a trip over to the Arlington National Cemetery and the Vietnam Memorial Wall to pay our respects to our fallen brothers and sisters.  A trip I'm not so sure I'm ready to make so soon after my grandson's passing.  I'll return home late tomorrow (Friday) night.

Then........

I'll be playing hostess for a military reunion of sorts.  Every year a group of us that served together in Vietnam, Iraq, and a few other places get together on Memorial Day weekend.  This year is my turn to host the gathering.  So I'll be in and out all weekend.

The reunion held at my home this weekend was great but I'm exhausted.  I think I have had 4 hours of sleep since Thursday.  But it was great having us all together again.  My poor neighbors went into shock I think.  I would have to if I had driven by and seen 94 tents in someones front yard with guys and gals walking around in camos.  Plus a hugh display of flags.  Several took pictures so as soon as I get my hands on some of them I'll share with everyone here.  After spending so many years in the military I miss it terribly and it just does my heart good to get together with my old buddies.  But the rest of my body isn't agreeing with my heart....lol.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Very sorry I wasn't online yesterday.  There was an awful car accident near us yesterday morning which resulted in the entire community losing electricity till the wee hours of this morning.  The good and most important news is that no lives were lost in the accident.  The men and women of the fire and police department were awesome.
