I read about this new caliber on line. Here's the site, the article is listed under 'Ammo'; So far Ruger has a revolver to handle this caliber, the SP101. The .327magnum has 20% less recoil than a .38spl + P. The gun also can shoot .32 S&W, .32spl, .32 H&R magnum rounds. Subjected to the standard FBI protocol tests for effectiveness through barriers, the 115 grain .327 magnum load reaches: 15" Bare Gellatin 16" Heavy Clothing 16" Plywood 14.5" Wallboard 13" Auto Glass 20" Single Layer vehicle body steel |

Never heard of it until I just looked it up. From what I read, it sounds like it would be a good round. But also from what I read, the availbility doesn't sound all that cool! |

Yeah, I agree Cat-Dude. I really like my snubnose .38spl +P, and if I want more power, then I have my .357mag. When I first saw this .327mag, I thought is this a joke? Good luck finding the gun let alone the ammo. Bet WalMart doesn't have it. |

Beware of odd-ball ammunition. Ever heard of .307 Winchester? No, thas not a typo for .308 Winchester. If ever there was an odd-ball caliber, this would have to be one. Someone made a rifle chambered for it and it was commercially loaded, but I have no clue as to what rifle or if the stuff is still loaded. |
