Hey MG,
I'm always looking for something new. What are your thoughts of the Judge, by Taurus. The video is quite impressive for close accounters of any kind.

"The Judge" is a large (and I mean BIG) revolver that takes .410 shotgun shells and .45 Long Colt cartridges.  It is very similar to the "Thunder 5" revolver.  I don't know for sure, but it appears that Taurus bought the run to add to their line.  The sights are fixed, but the sight radius is very short.  The effective range is short as a result.

The ability to shoot both shot shells and slugs or bullets is OK.  The fact is, this is a very big and heavy gun.  If you run dry, it would make a very effective club.

My advice would be to look at the gun and heft it before you buy it.  You might be better served with a smaller revolver.  Remember that they make shot cartridges for revolvers also if you're shooting snakes and small critters.

Having said that, Taurus makes very good handguns and so I am sure this is a quality firearm.
