Hey MG, I'd like your opnion. I'm looking for a nice, not high dollar, but quality .40cal.
I found a interesting gun by Stoeger. It's called The Cougar. It comes in both 9mm & .40 Sw, the 40 is what I'm eyeballing. These are the 2 sites I've researched. What do you think?

I value your opnion ... Thanks
BGS

This looks to be a fine piece -- especially if you can get it for about the price quoted.  Beretta does make good guns.  The rotary barrel feature is a little strange, but that's OK.

It does look like Bretta has solved the problem of the awkward grip of the Model 92.  Without having one to compare it's difficult to say for sure.

What's the price of spare magazine?  Does the Cougar's interchange with the Model 92 (or whatever Beretta's model designation for the .40 S&W is)?  Does the package come with a spare magazine (that is, one in the gun, plus one in the box)?  That's a good deal if Beretta does that.  (Then you only have two more to buy.)

Basic rule for a pistol like this is one magazine in the gun and three spares.  The two go in the magazine pouch and the third is used to rotate magazines (if carried for duty use) or as a backup in case one of the others starts having problems.
