Took my .32 out today so I could shoot up some old ammo. I ended up giving away most of the hollow points. My Cobra just doesn't like them. The rest was old Winchester ball and a box of 50 Aguila (Mex) ball. I'll be damned if it wasn't the best ammo I ever used. Rounded ball instead of flat tip, only had ejection problems, it chambered great! On my target, I had to quit counting at 103, the holes were blown out of the target!

I'll keep looking, Chief, but out of two brands of HP, it didn't like either. With ball, it likes the rounded tip Mex brand, Aguila, better than my usual Winchester brand.
I shot up a box of 43 Fiocchi .357 ball with my Tracker, along with 7 Lawman .38 ball. Check out my target, I think I did pretty good, with only 1 off target and it's a whole heap cheaper, too!

32 FMJ is better then nothing. If you cant find a HP that feeds just practice a lot with FMJ and think head shots. Remember a bad day on the range beats a good day at work.

Occasionally, but never to catch fish. I just have my drinks and read me book. If I catch anything, cool. If not, that's cool, too!

Cat,

If your Cobra is even having feeding problems with ball ammo (forget hollow points) then it is time to get a professional involved.

T. Mark Graham at Arizona Response Systems has done excellent work for me in the past.  He did the assembly and finishing work on my FN FALs -- American T48 replica, Israeli Light Barrel replica, Austrian StG 58 replica, German G1 replica, and Imbel FAL w/bipod.  Mark stands by his work and gets it right.

You can e-mail him at [email protected] or here's his address and phone number: Arizona Response Systems, 16014 West Remuda Drive, Surprise, AZ 85387, ph. 623-556-8056.  Call him first to set up an appointment -- he's usually buried with work, so he really appreciates that you coordinate your visit with him.

Mark's ex-Army Special Forces and knows his weaponry.  I highly recommend him if any other folks here need some gunsmithing done.  One thing: Mark's usually booked solid with work, so you ought to visit his website at Arizona Response Systems to check on his work load to get an idea of what's already in the pipeline.

Don't know why I forgot to mention it, but while shooting my Cobra, the left hand grip broke. No big deal a little masking tape didn't fix. I called Cobra Arms, and again true to their lifetime guarantee, they are putting a set of new grips in the mail tomorrow to replace my broken one!
If nada else, they have great service! LOL
