Kentucky: National Rifle Association Specialized License Plates!

Friday, May 23, 2008

The NRA has begun collecting applications for specialized NRA license plates for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  The Kentucky Department of Motor Vehicles will only produce the plates if they receive at least 900 applications for the NRA license plate.  The initial application fee is $28.00.  Once received, the Kentucky Department of Motor Vehicles will send those who submitted an application a receipt, which will be needed when the specialized plates are produced.  At this time an additional $16.00 fee will be incurred.

If you are interested in becoming one of the first NRA supporters in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to receive a specialized tag, please complete the application below, accompanied by a check in the amount of $28.00 made payable to the Kentucky State Treasurer.

http://www.nraila.org/media/PDFs/KY_NRA_License_Plate.pdf

Please submit the completed application along with the application fee to:

Heidi Keesling
National Rifle Association
Institute for Legislative Action
11250 Waples Mill Road
Fairfax, VA 22030

If you have questions, please call the NRA-ILA Grassroots Division at (800) 392-VOTE (8683).  Please keep a copy of your order form for your records.  Continue to visit www.NRAILA.org for the status of the National Rifle Association Kentucky specialized license plate.

Thank you for your support!

Management Plan Being Written for Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge.  The Fish and Wildlife Service has announced that it will begin writing a 15-year plan for the management of Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge.  The Refuge is about 8,500 acres with an approved acquisition boundary of approximately 18,000 acres that extends along the East Fork of the Clarks River from just south of Benton, northwest to within five miles of Paducah.  The federal agency is inviting the public to submit comments on how they want to see the Refuge managed in the future.  Because hunting is allowed, it is important that hunters get involved in the planning process to ensure that hunting is protected and enhanced in future years.  You may submit your comments to Tina Chouinard, Natural Resource Planner, at [email protected] .  For further information, you may call 731-780-8208.  The deadline for comments is October 14th.
