OK.  I'm a Doubting Thomas when it comes to the new "gee whiz" magic gun lubricant/cleaner/whatever that hits the market.  However, there's a nice outfit with a great product that all you gun guys ought to know.

The product is called MILITEC-1 and their website is www.militec-1.com.  MILITECH-1 comes in a variety sizes for the shooter and the really neat thing about this lubricant is that when the liquid evaporates, it leaves behind a dry lubricant that bonds with the metal in your firearm.

Now, why a dry lubricant?  Because it does not pick up dirt and dust and help jam your action.  I recommend that you go to the MILITEC-1 website and check things out.

I've used the MILITEC-1 lubricant on my guns and they have functioned flawlessly.  MILITEC-1 is used by the US military, federal law enforcement agencies, and state and local law enforcement agencies.  They have been and are very heavily involved with support our troops fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Here's a neat deal, if you're in the military or a retiree, you get a discount on the product.  There's also a store for dealers and civilians.

MILITEC-1 works.  I liked the stuff so much that I gave out sample bottles to my Hunter Safety instructors.  Some of them liked the stuff so much, that I sold two of my 16 oz. bottles to them.  When you have people coming back for more, that tells me that these guys are making a good product.  Check out the website and order a sample.  You'll be glad you did.

The manufacturer of MILITEC-1 recommends that you lube the gun with their product after the gun gets up to operating temperature from firing.  According to them, this is where the dry lubricant suspended in the lubricant solution is best able to bond with the metal.

This makes a great deal of sense to me.  What I do know is the stuff works great -- hot or cold.

I'm taking my .32 out this Saturday when I take 'Nonie' and I will use it on it then. If all works out, then 'Nonie' gets it. When I next take my .357 out, I will lube it with Militec-1, also!

I woke this morning and just decided to clean my pistols. I used thst new Militec-1 oil and it amazed me. As a lubricant, it's great, but here's the cool part. I ran it down my barrel 5 or 6 times with my swab and I couldn't believe how much more GSR came out. I felt my guns were clean before I got bored, but now I know they're clean. LOL Look out 'Nonie!'

Used it on 'Nonie' this morning and the results were the same. Excellent cleaning power. Used it on the stock and firing mechanisms and both barrels!

The Militec-1 is a wonder drug as far as cleaning and lubrication goes! Shot both my .357 and my 12 gauge and got excellent results. Except for a small problem with GSR build-up in the cylinder of the .357, all mechanisms worked smoothly. Cleaning afterwards was a snap on both guns.
I give Militec-1 a 5 rating!!!!!
