Hi everyone!

I went for drive this past saterday, up the Black Sturgeon Road. I got away late in the morning , due to bad weather. So I did not have much luck at shooting a moose but I did manage to shoot a couple ridge. they where a good dinner when I returned home after a long day in the bush.
The road is in the best shape I have seen in years, they graided the road straight through to the spruce river road. They spent some time on fixing the road this time, about a month maybe a little more. putting down gravel, pulling out big rocks, and make planty of passes to insure a proper graid. They even cut down some trees and  plawed some growth out of the way along side the road. The road is sure starting to grow up, what used to almost be a highway  is now barly wide enough for two trucks to pass eah other in some spots.
When for a walk on the other side of John Creek to see if i could get some ridge, but the road has grown up so much walking was hard in some spots. So I quikly came to stop with no luck of shooting bridge down this road witch used to be so good for ridge.
I met lots of traffic on the main road as I made my way out of the bush. Many people heading out after a successful hunt, moose in trailers and in the back of trucks. I will have to get out some more this fall hopping to shoot my moose, the freezer is starting to get low.
