Just got back from Spruce River at 5:30 pm. The general condition of the Black Sturgeon Road is rough, very rough. Second gear and 30 klicks per was the best I could do coming out with my fold down Jayco tent trailer until the Camp 42 turn off. Almost at the turnoff I encountered a grader and the road was being worked on. Actual ditching and crowning of the road from there on to the highway made speeds of 60 klicks per possible.
Even with all the rain we've had up there there are few mud puddles on the road. Most of the water has gone into the ground! Black Sturgeon Lake and Spruce River are on the slow rise but down for this time of the year.
Enjoy your trip, tell us about it and drive slow!
