Thank you Lynda for posting.

As I look back and think of the memories that alot of us shared with bigguy, I feel so honored that I got to meet, know him and to be one of his friends.

Here is a guy that warmed our hearts, pushed the right buttons to get us either thinking, moving, and or a little ticked. Always had a shoulder to cry on when we needed it.

I remember him telling that he loved to get us gals ticked  cause then he would sit back and laugh as we sputtered.  Of course, he was in Canada and knew that he wasn't anywhere near us to get that cast iron pan thrown at him..lol

He always spoke of his family with respect and love. His wonderful wife Muriel and his two sons.. Of course then came Tyrone.. one proud grandpa.

A special thank you to Muriel for sharing this man with all of us.

With all this said.. I miss him dearly but the memories will last forever.  He gave us all one precious thing.. friendship.

Remember me

Not in places closed by musty walls

But where sparrows flirt

And hawks soar

Where skies are blue

Or thunder rules

Where green capes the land

Or blinding snow greets the eye

Remember me

Remember me

Not at daily toil

But where spirits fly

Where one can reach the sky

By lifting their arms

Where sunrise blooms wild

And the day always holds promise

And sunset promises sleep

Remember me

Remember me

On a lonely bridge

Watching the water below

On a path not worn smooth

Deep in the forest

Standing on a lake shore

Far from the crowds

Or on a majestic pinnacle

Looking over my world

Remember me

Remember me

And come to my places

Where we can meet

Where I can show you

The wonders I embrace

Come visit and rejoice

That we can still share

Those things I hold dear

Remember me

It's difficult to forget someone who can write poetry like this. Gotta be one of my all-time Favs' and his memory will also be.  :-)

Thanks for your post Lynda. Time can never take away our memories. Hold your loved ones close and let them know how much you care. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. Enjoy your family and friends each day you have them in your life.
Miss you Harri.
