I know it's been ages since I've been here,,    had much going on in my life as of late, with trout fishing and camping,,   then June 30th we lost my dad

I'm sorry for not being around too much, I hope to get active again now,,  between work and fishing.

I remember a while ago where someone on here mentioned something about a train tour that goes around (or part of) Lake Superior,,  does anybody have any info on that tour?  my mom and I are planning a vacation in the fall.  any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sue

Hi Sue: Nice to hear from you and so very sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Will certainly look forward to hearing from you on a regular basis and hope the rest of your summer will be filled with camping and fishing.

This railroad tour U speak of is tough to run down - - I did find a couple of numbers that U could call. I think it's what U want.  Good Luck!

I remember going on a train tour up into Canada a few years ago that started in Sault Ste Marie and went into the back woods for a 100 miles or so for a day trip. Cain't remember the name of the ride but it is advertised in mag. all over the place as i have seen it several times. Took a sack lunch and stopped at half way and had a lunch break. Walked back into the woods and saw a nice water falls. We had a great time on the trip that day. charlie

thanks Trina and charlie..

hey Charlie,,   we live in Kenora/Dryden, and want to do a tour that leaves closer to us,, instead of driving through it to Sault Ste Marie to hop on a train that will take us back through what we drove through,,   you follow me?   I was hoping there would be something leaving from Thunder Bay, but it's starting to look grim.
