4 pounds of mussels (cleaned)
salt and pepper to taste
6 slices of bacon
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup onion finley chopped
1 cup of grated cheese,chedder or parmesan
method
remove beards and clean mussels rinse wellin large sauce pan cook mussels in a little water,( i use 1/2 cup for 4 pounds) preheat oven to 375,,remove from shell and place in a buttered 6-8 cup baking dish or panseason with salt and pepper sprinkle onion and lemon juice,,cover with chopped bacon and cheesebake for 15-20 minutes or till bacon is done.,,and there great with white wine.
