HAVE YOU?

Have you ever sat in a forest-quiet; as I,

Watched the hitch-of-a-hare go by,

Caught the-swoop of a hawk in the sky,

Turned your face toward the One upon High

            And wished?

Have you ever knelt at the side of a bed,

Facing at last a moment-of-dread

Closing the eyes of a friend, now dead,

Thought of some callused word once said

              And prayed?

Have you ever lay in a bed so near

To feel the beat of a heart that's dear?

A message of Love so plain and clear,

Closed eyes and mind to every fear,

And dreamed?

Have you ever stood in a nursery,

Considering all aspects of Eternity?

God's greatest show, all doubts flee.

Knowing all is as He had planned it to be,

            And hoped!

We all have moments; some use them to the fullest. Not all understand these uses at times.

Thank you Annie & ALL,

UR very kind I wrote that about 20 years ago - - the first verse while sitting on a rock at the Babbling Brook back on my place :-) A sudden rain storm chased me home and that evening I found out that storm had taken the life of my neighbour's daughter in a car accident. During the turmoil of the next few days I managed to finish it - - I probably fine-tuned it later on?

Thanks again :-) Ed
