It was a small island
just big enough to play.How it came to be is a story in itself.
King neptune was getting so fed up,

an we go on land pops please they asked in turn
He had six boys and six girls mermen and mermaids,
so you can understand why he began to get agitated. 
Well enough was enough. He gathered them all in his throne room.
He was soft really and generally did all they asked,
but this time they knew as well as him that if they went on land they could not come back in the sea and he loved them to much to lose them 
So he made them a magic Island.
The Island had waterfalls to slide down and
trees of all kinds
but they could only be there three days
no more then they had to come back into the sea for 4 days.
That way they could go from one to the other and they wouldn't torment him anymore.
Excited they all went onto the Island it was such fun they got to have picnics.
They slid down the waterfalls, they drank the milk and ate coconuts and fruit .
They chased the waves they had such a wonderful time then they all went back into the sea
They had as much fun there making necklaces out of shells and swimming and playing
one day Pansy she was one of the younger ones went onto the island she could find noone.
Noone was playing in the sea.Noone could be found anywhere.
where could they be .

It wasnt fair it was her birthday. I wonder if anyone knows she thought. If anyone has remembered.
She was very upset she wished the others happy birthday when it was there birthday.
Everyone was ignoring her noone came to play with her.
She sat on the Island and sulked.
She made the others presents out of shells and fancy things when it was there birthday,but she was all alone on hers.
Well she thought ime not going to sulk its my birthday and if noone wants to be with me I will play on my own.
She clmbed up a tree and collected a coconuthad a nice drink.
she brushed her hair. It was so long and beautiful.She had a mirror given to her by her Father.She sang with the birds and chased round with the rabbits and squirrels
Sat in the warm pool for a while.It was good to feel the sun .she played chase the waves ,slid down the waterfalls ,but still she was on her own.
She looked in thecaves to see if they were there but noone could be found,
She went to the edge of the sea watching the waves as the white foam came in and just as she was going to dive back into the water a dolphin appeared.
It seemed to come out of nowhere wow ! It jumped so high out of the water twisted round and down it went back into the water. She had seen them jump but not from out of the water It went so high it could almost touch the sky she thought. It played around twisting and turning and jumping.
Then almost as if it had come for her it swam along side her "come" it said in a squeeky voice
"Climb on you can ride if you like"The dolphin held a rope in its mouth and she sat on its back .
She held on tight as he dived down under the water so fast she nearly fell off "slow down" she shouted but I dont think he heard her he didnt
She managed to settle and hold on she began to enjoy the ride. She had swam along side the dolphins, but this was the first one to give her a ride. She giggle as it twisted and turned then all of a sudden up it went .
Jumping out of the water and turning round and down "again again again" she shouted she giggled so much she nearly tipped off. Up he went again right into the air and down again
He begn to swim fast further and further he went" where are we going?" she asked,but the dolphin didnt answer just kept on swimming.
She was beginning to get scared. What if he didnt fetch her backwhat if he left her somewhere and she couldnt find her way home she thought , but the dolphin circled round and kept on swimming.
Then turning he swam towards her home the castle at the bottom of the ocean.she was so pleased to see familiar thingsshe began to enjoy the ride again.
The dolphin headed for the castle and stopped just below the throne room steps. As he got there 11 people swam out to meet her followed by the king and Queen.
Happy birthday they sang as they swam round her.The dolphin was sent to bring her to a surprise birthday party.
That was the reason he kept her away from homeand and why she couldnt find the others. They led her up the steps. It was awesome there was lots of food and decorations .
what a wonderful birthday surprise. All the fish, the dolphins ,seahorses and crabs and alsorts of cretures that lived in the sea joined in and danced as the music played as they sang songs.
They all gathered round and told stories .The King was good at that.
The dolphins gave them all a ride.Up into the sky they jumped and twisted.What a wonderful birthday she had she would never forget it
It was the best. In fact they all agreed it was the best.
