LABYRINTH RITUAL

This is the guideline to help create a ritual to mark any life passage. You have the power to create a ritual that will greatly enhance any transition in your life. Start small and simple remember spirit joyfully welcomes and supports any attempt at sincere ritual.

RITUAL GUIDELINES

  • What is the purpose of my ritual? What do I want to accomplish?

  • Whom do I want to participate, and why? How much, or little do I want to do?

  • How will the completion of this ritual affect my life?

  • What symbolic actions do I want to carry out, such as burning, blessing, buying, or washing?

ENACTMENT

Opening

  • How will I consecrate sacred space and define its boundaries ?decorating,-cleansing,-altering lighting,-music/music making,-seating arrangement, &/or-incense.

  • How will I declare the intention of the ritual?

  • How, if any way will others participate in the opening?

  • How do I wish to invoke the sacred? By,-prayer,-words,-lighting a candle, or-music.

  • What do I wish to ask from the Sacred? (God/Goddess)

MIDDLE

  • How will I end the ritual?

  • How if any way will others take part in the closing?

  • How will I thank and release the energies that I have invoked?

INTEGRATION

  • What did I learn from the ritual? How was I inspired by it?

  • How can I continue to incorporate the gifts of the ritual in my life?

  • What actions can I take to further ground the ritual in my life?

Now that you have the basic outline for any ritual next comes the writing, or in your own words is best, for it to come from the heart and say what you feel. I Will outline other rituals for you to do when I speak of outlining them I mean walk you through them though it’s best if you take what I say and incorporate your own feelings to make the ritual your own. B.B. L.S.M.

DAILY RITUALS FOR THE LABYRINTH

Simple ritual in the Labyrinth can mark the beginnings and endings throughout the day, allowing you to be more open to the presence of spirit in your life and more conscious of your intentions.

RITUAL

A ritual can be an elaborate celebration or a simple one like this one for honoring the day, and inviting light into your life.

do a protection meditation starting at the crown of you head imagine white light from the universe shining down on you and entering your crown filtering into your third eye chakra indigo, and into your throat chakra, blue and then to your heart chakra which is green, reveling in your power chakra, yellow to your sacral chakra, which is orange and finally to you sexual chakra which Is red and all this filters throughout you body which goes back up and out through your crown and falls back down in a colorful protection of light.

Light candles at the entrance usually white or you can use green or blue to represent health or love, invoke the spirit of place by stating your intention and inviting spirit to help and join you, enter the labyrinth and as you near the first outside turn light the candle of that direction. (Depending on how the Labyrinth is laid out) and invoke that direction, (watchtower, spirit or whatever feels right) till all outside direction candles are lit.

As you enter the center, light the candles there. they can be one,or one for each the Goddess and God and one for you, the self candle is for your searching, the one that will help with your daily walk. Become clear of you intentions here and ask for spirit to help guide you throughout the day, you may pause her for a time and, when you are ready, douse the God and Goddess candles pick up the self candle, and walk slowly, concentrating on the flame and walk the spiral out (this is very helpful for you will find that while concentrating on the flame, you’ve found your answer.) Extinguish the direction candles as you go thanking, or accept their blessing and rejoicing in their presence.

At the exit which was the entrance before extinguish the candles there step out and turn to the Labyrinth accepting its blessing, and ending the ritual, this can be daily, weekly, or monthly depending on time.

Lighting the candles is a way of giving a blessing to the labyrinth and creating this sacred space, and for welcoming anyone spirit or animal who wants to, to show up and  walk the spirals.

You can also change this to an ending of the day or a transition from the hustle of the workday to the calm of the evening, and get your frustrations of coworkers, or job stress out of your mind to rest.

Blessed Be, in a spiral way; Lady Sylvar Moon
