Hey everyone,
I had a very scary thing happen to me yesterday which could have killed me
i am very passionate about this now because i want everyone in the world to be aware what could
happen to you ...
My heater in my townhouse was malfunctioning and the
vent to outside was clogged and my heater was smelling of diesal...
so called property management place and they told me
to get out there may be a leak i said it doesnt smell like natural gas
this is what they were concerned about...
i felt silly calling the fire department but i did
it anyways because something inside of me was telling me it just isnt right
so they came out here to my place and tested the heater which was letting out a gas called carbon monoxide
i wasnt aware that we didnt have one of those sensors
in our unit you would have though that renting they would make it mandatory
but its not the law to have one of those sensors i am here to tell you all that me my husband my 2 dogs could have died
carbon monoxide has many different symptoms
such as nausea headaches and it takes the oxygen out of your blood stream and makes it hard for you to breath
I urge each of you to learn from this experiance
as i have and please please go and get one of those sensors could save your life
and $25 isnt that much money when it could save your precious life!!!!!!!!
I went to the doctor afterwards i am ok... they did an ABG which is a blood test for those that dont know
they take the blood from your artery in your wrist
my levels were those of a smoker... and i dont smoke if i had some in earlier they would have found higher levels
and i would have been on oxygen and admitted to the hospital for close observation...
The levels in my home were 38 and that was just as
the heater was starting back up so i dont want to think at what levels
i was breathing that horrible odarless gas into my body its very harmful to humans... at 50 for long periods of time can kill you and make you so very sick
so please do me a favor and talk to your friends and
family and anyone you know to get one of these
sensors because you could be saving a life if you
do so!!!!
I have realized how precious life is and how i need to find
peace in the fact that im alive and i have learned from this experiance and i
will do what i need to in getting the word out
i am researching right now how to contact my congressman in my state to please make this a law
because noone should have to die because of this...
