Buddy Tom in Thailand sent me a wierd email a couple days ago trying to sell a bunch of "electron" stuff. I replied I'm overwhelmed with the electrons I now use. He came back, apologized and said he got hacked and most on his list asked WTF, and here's a clip he sent:
"
I traced the website of that Best Supply place to an outfit in Beijing. I reported it to Google. Some way or another they cracked my Google account, put their ad in my "vacation auto response" and turned the auto response on. Whoever sent the first email after that generated an auto response to everyone on my contacts list. I went in and turned the vacation auto-responder off and took off their spam ad and set up a new password. I'll let you know what comes of it, if anything."
