Time to take a break - Relax and view these incredible photos:
Photographer D. Hirmes took 1,500 photographs of ice forms by pouring water into household objects like bowls, vases and balloons, and then freezing or partially freezing them in the fridge. Only a flashlight was used to illuminate the ice.
Liquid in motion, captured with high-speed flash photography.
The artist creates his range of shapes by varying the speed, position and size of the drops and controlling their fall along with the flash. Their simplicity and beauty are truly amazing.
