Yeah, I wish I hadn't missed last weeks cuz everyone was so excited about it and I watched tonite and was like "uh.....". I can't believe how much better I think this one is than American Idol tho, Ben is easier to watch and like than Ryan, the judges are acutally helpful, they give good critism and are actually honest, if 2 are mean, one doesn't come out all Paula like and be like "You look beautiful tonite" and the fact that these guys are signing with a piano only, no back up fucking band or vocals, just a better who I think. I like Tyler and Rob (i think) and the mohawk guy sang well. |

I call the guy's show: Night of the Living Elliott
1. Keith (8.5/10) - Lovely tone and the breathy whispers are part of why I really enjoy his voice.
2. Sheldon (8/10) - Great song. Good voice. Nothing much else to say.
3. Chad (5.5/10) - The beginning, I thought, was really good. Then it turned into cheese and stuff. He did pull it off but I can't help feeling icky after that performance.
4. Craig (5/10) - The song was a good choice but the way the song was spliced up was awful. Has very good pipes though.
5. Rob (5/10) - Some parts were really good. But his vibrato and then when he quiets down in the higher register is getting to be annoying. I also notice that he tends to chop off the end of the lines and it's grating to me.
6. Greg (2/10) - I'm going to shoot whoever cut up his song like that. Going from the chorus to the bridge right away (I think) was wrong! Some good moments here but overall, Rocketman doesn't work with the piano.
7. Chris (1/10) - Stop playing Monopoly. Stand your feet in one spot and sing.
8. Tyler (0/10) - That was a huge ball of MESS. Eww. I find his voice to be mediocre. A few sharp notes at the beginning and at the middle. He doesn't know how to rock. Ding.
9. Brandon (-20/10) - Hmm, that was horrible. Start to finish. The way they cut up the song was horrendous. And him singing it with a piano was just horrible. Not to mentioned he copied Elliott's ending. Grr. Can you tell I hate him? HATE! |
